WCIF a mod to hide/remove the option to 'tinker' with stuff?
Is it really that hard to avoid performing a non-autonomous action?

If you're using sims3packs you have to uninstall it from the launcher first, you can't just install the new one on top of the old one.
I'm quite aware of that, common knowledge and such. I had originally downloaded the Generations registration gift from here first when it had originally came out but it, too, had the same issue that the one I recently downloaded from the store had. And yes, I when I decrapified it, I did it correctly. If someone posted a properly working version, I hadn't known about it. When you say "the one from here", which one are you referring to? Last time I checked, it was being shared by various people in various formats. Did anyone disclose if they had properly working version? "The one from here" meaning the one Anach uploaded two days ago, in which he says is the new fixed version from EA. http://moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15100.msg575592.html#msg575592

Hello there! I've got a request / WCIF: Is there a mod or hack somewhere which lowers (or better make absolutely quiet) the burglar alarm? It takes so long until police arrives and that sound makes me crazy (ah, and please no answers about don't buy the alarm ) (Sorry for bad English!)

Is it really that hard to avoid performing a non-autonomous action? Intentionally avoiding it, not hard at all. Accidentally is another matter so I wondered if there was a mod to hide/remove it.

I mis-click it for another option from time to time, so I wondered if there was a mod to hide/remove it. That's easily solved by reading what you are about to click on before doing so. Pause the game if need be.

If the words are really difficult, you can always try sounding them out one letter at a time.

I'm actually looking for two things.
Firstly, a mod that allows me to buy my sims' books in the bookshop. It'd make the whole 'bestseller' thing a lot more believable if I could actually buy them. I don't actually know if this exists or is possible, and I suspect probably not, but there's no harm in trying.
Second thing is a nice, small sized neighbourhood that isn't riddled with CC. My computer finds it too difficult to run the larger 'hoods without incredible amounts of lag, but the small ones work fairly well. I just have terrible luck finding them, and most are pretty bad or have twenty metric tonnes of CC that are just too aggravating to download. I have one called Liberty Bay that I really like, but it's really boring playing in the same one every new game. I've tried to make my own, but that's not where my talents lie.
Much appreciated.

I think one of Twallans mods allows you to buy your sims books at the bookstore.

I think one of Twallans mods allows you to buy your sims books at the bookstore. It's a bit surprising neither one of you bothered to check whether AM has this feature: Buyable WrittenBooks [Optional - Default: Enabled] Books written by your sims in-game are now buyable from the bookstore.

mysimrealty.com has a lot of worlds to offer, large and small, lag intense and not so. Winchester Farming Community is small, no CC and lag free as they get, for instance.

Woah, why did I not come across that site before! Much more organized than MTS, albeit, much less variety. But it looks like quality stuff.

Does anyone happen to know WCIF library files of all the lots from all EAxian worlds? Other than saving each and every lot myself.

That's pretty much how it's done: Most of them are not placed in the library, and indeed, are not very recyclable since they use non-standard, non-flat lots, and therefore, cannot be transplanted.

You want to transplant EA's default Lots to other worlds? But, but...why?!? Not that they are great or not borked or anything... So, whatever, they are in this path for those that comes with Worlds: \Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 <EP name here, none for BG, ofc>\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Library Those not in the Library are in the .world file itself. And that needs some exporting of resources, using CAW blahdeblahbla, that you need to figure out yourself.

EA should've made this Renault car instead. Maybe someone would like to give it a go? If possible with the recharging dock.

WCIF a fix for the borked LN wall speakers not playing any custom music? I'm fairly certain that MTS had one but I can't find it despite many searches. All I get at the moment when I switch them to custom music on community lots is silence. Regular stereos seem to handle custom music perfectly fine but look hopelessly out of place in nightclubs.
