THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Again in line with hiding the rabbithole objects, this lot is a makeover of the default science research facility in riverview. I kept the original harvestable plants, and the mysterious omni plant, so you should still be able to use it. I don't know if you can catch robot fish or not, I imagine it should work.

Anyway, the science lab has been converted to either an agricultural research facility for rural neighborhoods (one thta looks okay next to a greenhouse dome), or a super secret evil hiding lair. In any case, I buried it inside a VERY deep basement. Sims can still use it normally.

That looks spooky.   Cheesy I find it quite frustrating trying to give some personal touches to the neighbourhood seeing as it's no longer possible to remove the neighbourhood decorations.

Brilliant. You're a genius.
Can, I um... without sounding completely utterly noobish (especially since I -am- a noob) ask how you did this?
Thanks

I assume Ellatrue just edited the town lot and used move objects to move it? Should try it now!
Looks good! Will use it in my Riverview save Smiley

The science lab on the game is not actually a building in the normal sense -- it's an object. So I put the object inside a basement foundation, and decorated the rest of the lot for a more rural feel. It can still be used normally by the sims. You don't need to use "moveObjects on" if the basement is large enough.

I get an error when I try to download. Should this just be saved as a Sims3Pack?

hi ! is my first reply and i want to thanks all for this  wonderful site^^
so, is an sim3pack and for install it you must double click on file Smiley
for the size ,i say like i make , you must search an big house ( there is only one 64x64) leave the family from it ( can you copy the house in inventary or destroy it) and  change the lot empty from residence to commercial,so you can  put the laboratory ^^
sorry for my bad english i hope that you understand me Smiley
and thanks to ellatrue for this ^^

This would look perfect in Riverview. Unfortunately it seems that none of the lots in Riverview can fit it. If only I could, like, add new lots as I needed to, like in The Sims 3's supposedly inferior predecessor.

Thanks. Here's my problem: I had to change it to a community lot before placing.

Once it's emptied, you should have a toggle button for community/residential in lot's panel.

Wow, I've been experimenting with building walls around my rabbit holes but never would have thought to put them underground! Frackin' brilliant. I would love to download it to check it out in-game, but the link appears to be broken.

So what's up with the super secret door? I am not awesome enough to figure out how that was done or even what it is.

I believe it is a carpet moved there with moveobjectson cheat, and then painted the same pattern as the floor.

Updated to fix weird static error with a minor tweak, so the false garden sunflowers are above ground again and there is no blank spot without floor tiles below. Not super important, but better now. Yay is life.
