THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Has anyone noticed any reaction to a really smelly sim ? It seems that nobody minds if you smell, to high heaven, that is an oversight I guess, in effect,  baths and showers are a waste of my sims time.

Then you aren't paying very close attention, since Sims encountering a smelly Sim will wave their hands in disgust, and get a disgusted moodlet, while the offending Sim will get a low hygiene moodlet.

Thats what I thought was meant to happen, but in my game smelly sims seem ok !

If a sim has a Slob trait will be a lot less annoyed by stink, its or someone else's; maybe that's why.

Like most everything else in this game, it's just a negative moodlet without a physical reaction. Same with being scalded or whatnot by a cheap shower or eating food that tastes like fridge.

I have definitely seen Sims draw back and wave their hands in front of their noses when encountering a smelly Sim.

I've defiantly noticed that, without my poking, sims will not interact with smelly sims; of course, if you tell your sim to do it, he will- albeit begrudgingly.

Speaking of which, has anyone seen a Sim fart yet? I know I haven't.

Have a sim with the Slob trait and you'll have. I had a slob sim married, and he let a big one go just before the exchange of rings. That was not great.

I not only have a slob, I have an 'unlucky slob'...and I suspect that had I also given him the 'inappropriate' trait I'd be hearing a lot more belching and farting than I already do from him.

I also just last night had a sim receive an opportunity - he was asked by the gym to 'not break a sweat' on his workouts since he was stinky. Nevermind the reason he was stinky had nothing to do with working out (I kinda just forgot to have him take a shower as there were 7 sims in the household at the time).  So apparently the GAME notices the stench and says something about it, too.

I have one sim with a high aspiration level and he was able to infulence a smelly sim to take a shower but none of my other sims have that option.  Or maybe it was just a fluke.  Cheesy

Are you talking about TS3 or TS2? 3 has neither influence interactions nor aspiration levels. The only direct influence I've seen in 3 is the ability for adults to tell teens to do things like go to bed or improve their skills.

Sims with Neat trait can ask others to go shower and wash dishes.

(Edit: it's Neat, not Clean trait)
