Just a word on the Grim Reaper, it is possible to socialise with him and even fall in love with him. You can't socialise with him every time he visits, but if you kill enough sims you do get the occasional opportunity to chat and flirt if he hangs about afterwards. I actually have one sim who has the unlucky trait and is pretty unhappy at all the other people dying. Every time I try and kill him Grim tells him he's not going to take him because he enjoys his misery too much, thus I've been trying to kill him over and over and every time Grim hangs about I've had another sim socialise with him.
I haven't finished my experiments, currently the sim socialising with Grim has him down as a love interest and has made out with him. Don't know how much further you can take it, will resume killing at the weekend to see if babbies are possible. Thus far I've discovered Grim is a Couch Potato, Inappropriate, Grumpy and a Bookworm.
I also noticed, if you edit town at any point and go back into the household, a different Grim shows up, and therefore my sim has two Grims in her relationship panel. The original one started showing up again so both are now love interests of hers.

I had two elders die in the same house within hours of each other, and everyone in the family ended up with two Grims in their relationship panels after the second death. I didn't exit or edit town between their deaths.

Hopefully this post isn't too necro, but this part worries me. A lot.

Spawning new grims every time you edit the neighbourhood? This seems like a VBT. BV-esque VBT.

There are at least two Grims even if you don't edit town. The only difference I've noticed between them is that one has good sense of humor and one has no sense of humor, but Trubble's Grim traits are very different from the two I met. You can get him to move in and have babies, the babies will be pitch black. Also, Grim doesn't have a head (the hood is part of his robes, and a head would clip through the hood).

Make sure to befriend them at child age, as they do not live on any lot and I don't
believe
they appear walking around town. I never saw Dusty doing that before she was properly moved in.
If you ever get the opportunity about befriending a random sim that happens to be the newspaper kid to improve your job performance, they'll show up around town. However, I'm not sure if they show up without the opportunity. They will duck off into a random house and you can't follow them in to visit household.

Someone else told me it wasn't Edit Town doing it. There's just two Grims for some reason. I've never seen more than two though.
And yeah, the kids are sometimes solid black, my sim had twins, one was normal, the other, not so normal:
How do you get him to move in? That option never came up for me. Just try for baby even though they were in a relationship.

I got him to best friend, then the next time he stayed around I spammed friendly interactions until the option for him to move in popped up. Unfortunately he'd go invisible after a few and once I resetsim he lost his black fog and his voice became normal.

That's not a glitch, that's a feature. Your rejection of the grimspawn is offensive to wiccans.

Well there's also a ghostbuster npc, though they are rare and possibly may be repomen/women moonlighting on another duty.
I'm not even sure if they are normally interactable with either.

Ghostbusters ARE repomans, aren't they? I don't remember exact message, but after removing the ghosts from the lot he said if I don't pay taxes in timely fashion he would visit again or something like that.

Moreover, we must find a way to make it a standard feature. Grimspawn are delicious.

Ooh, looks like they've got a bunch of stuff up already. I'm going to give the unlocked traits hack a go.
I also see they tried to do something with timescale too but it looks like it's hit a wall. In an attempt to slow down global time to something more useful, the modder must also adjust 82 other XML entries to bring animations, motive decays, work durations etc up to speed to sync with it. I definitely don't envy that job.
There's been no posts in that particular thread since the 5th, which suggests that either a) the modder gave up, or b) it's been put on a backburner.

Oh noes! I was rather annoyed when I saw the latest EA patch removed the option to make beautiful spawn with Grimmie. I have downloaded a family containing a Grim Reaper, and had intended to have some Baby Grims before patching, but unfortunately the game and AwesomeMod refused to load properly and made me patch.
Has anyone tried making Grimspawn with downloaded Grims? I am hoping that, since he is a Sim living in the neighborhood and not an NPC grim, my newly patched game will still allow babies.
EDIT:
Loaded my downloaded Grim into the game and found him a lady. I was able to get them to Try for Baby - with any luck it will carry his skintone! Although, isn't one of the features of AwesomeMod a skintone blend, rather than a striaght 50/50 shot of the mother's or father's skintone being passed on? I suppose I'll have to wait and find out.
Much to my amusement, when Grimmie and his date popped out of bed, I got a glimpse of him without his robe - he's actually rather fetching, if you scroll up close and see his face.

Why are the missing traits missing? Are there invisible traits without names? If they do have names, is there any way of printing a complete list of traits by name?
I have a reason for asking. I have a repairwoman that I added to the family. Repairwomen have only three traits: Workaholic, Handy, and Grumpy. I modified her face with editsim, and now I wonder if, in the process, editsim may have blanked out the invisible traits. If it did, how would you know?
(I believe the NPCs always spawn with the same traits, which is rather unfortunate and boring. All the maids I have moved in have had the same: Flirty, Kleptomaniac, Neat, Charismatic.)

I have a repairwoman with Handy, Clumsy and Loves the Outdoors. I have a maid with Flirty, Neat, Brave and Kleptomaniac. It looks like they have different traits. So far, all the maids, babysitters and mailcarriers have had the Klepto trait. Firemen have had different numbers of traits from one to four but no Klepto so far. I saw a policeman once with only one trait: Clumsy.
Grim had Evil, Insane, Brave and Good Sense of Humor.

Special NPCs do not ALWAYS spawn with the same traits, but they have a number of "fixed" traits (Maids are always Neat, Brave, Make No Messes), and some random traits, generally picked from a very restricted subset of traits (Maids are always 2 out of 3: Flirty, Charismatic, Klepto).
