So, it's Finish Husbands that speak in that language? Hummmm. My husband must be a throwback to his Viking ancestors then. LOL Because he speaks that exact language, and I have learned how, in 13 years to read it. Wait, I'm getting distracted again! JMP has NL?! There are new downloads?? Happy Mod Dance! .  |

What do they say in Finnish? Enquiring minds want to know!
I'm always surprised by the noises that animals make in other languages. In English, cats go miaow. In Japanese, they say nyaa nyaa (and in Japanese the noise always repeats). In English, dogs go woof or bow wow. In French, they go hien hien, according to Richard, who may or may not be making this up.
It's weird that noises change according to what particular language you're listening in.
Actually I haven't paid that much attention to what the vampires are saying, but generally when you type the same-sounding word in English and Finnish, it turns out quite different. Not to mention the animal sounds you wrote about, even the same exact sound will be spelled differently, which confuses my American husband to no end. For example, we also have the word "tie" in Finnish, (meaning "road") but the pronounciation is different, more like "tee-eh". The "i" is pronounced more like the "e" in English overall. For me, it causes confusion when people use spellings like "kewl" for "cool", because if I were to spell it phonetically, it would be "kuul" :lol:. And if you're going to spell out a word for me using the English pronounciation for the letters, you'll have to do it slowly, even if understanding whole words in English is no problem. |

In the beginning of the movie, as a boy, he met some neighbors, and he sniffed their butts like a dog. Were they freaked out! |
