Installing clean neighbourhoods - Have I deleted the wrong stuff?

Hi
I've been trying to install empty neighbourhoods. I've downloaded all the empty neighbourhood files and swapped those with the ones that were already there. Thats all fine, but I think I've gone wrong with Pets and the original TS2. In those folders I seem to have deleted everything rather than just the files in the character folders. Being really stupidly foolish I didn't make back up's before I started (I know, I know, give me a slap) so I'm wondering a few things:
1. Do I need those files I've deleted?
2. If so, is there any where I can get them without having to re install everything?
My recycle bin has already been emptied.......I know.....so NOOBISH!
Anyway, I'd really appreciate some help with this one, so if anyone can help that would be great.
BTW, I have all EP's if that makes any difference.
Thanks in advance!
Embarassed Noob!

As long as you have your disks you should be able to retrieve the originals without a complete re-install.

I do have the disks.
I've just tried exploring the Pets disk, but I can't see the files I am missing. Do you know where I can find them?
Thanks, sorry for being a PIA!

Thanks for that, but the ones I need aren't there.
The ones I am missing are Thumbnails and the neighbourhood PNG image file. Those are the ones in programme files, not in my documents.
If anyone knows where they are on the disks then that would be great. If not then I suppose I can go to my mums, install the original and Pets on my mums laptop, take the files I need and burn them onto a disk. Still it'd be good if anyone did know so I didn't have to do that.

Here are all the original hoods, I backed them up from my Program Files folder before I started mucking around with them.

Brilliant! Thats just what I needed, thankyou!
I have one more question now. For the Original, should I have the N001, N002 and N003 folders all in the neighbourhood template folder? At the moment I only have N001, but I'm thinking those others should be in there too.

I don't know the 'official' answer, but I've deleted all three original hoods from the Sims 2 folder at different times and it doesn't seem to cause any problems.
ETA: D'oh. You mean Program Files folder of course. Don't know about those. I have all three in mine.

I'll put them all back in then, just to be sure.
Thanks for that!
