Maximum Number of Playable families per apartment lot

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Is it possible to make a hack to change that limit? Because I was just thinking why not I mean why should it cause a lag in the gameplay when the game actually treats playable families B,C and D like NPCs when you're playing family A. Why can't it be done?

UI limitations forbid it. Also, the time involved in loading and saving, as well as data access, increases geometrically with the number of families on the lot.

Is the increase geometric by the number of families, or sims?  i.e. Is there any difference between 2 families of 4, or 8 families of a single sim each?
