I do want to arrquire this, but I am worrying about having to run the game from the M&G disc - I have the hacked AL .exe to get rid of the portrait regeneration, and I have no clue if that would be transferable to a M&G .exe.

Just being over cautious here (also reading here fills time while I update my backup on my external drive) if I now install my arrquired version and use the very shiny no-dvd crack will M&G do anything silly like uninstall AL

After downloading the files, I am getting a request to "Enter password for the encrypted file:  TS.2.MG.Stuff-RELOADED"
when I try to extract the files.  Do we need a password to extract the files?  I normally download the files via utorrent so I have not encountered this issue before.

UPDATE:  Ok, so the AL renters were able to rent a townhouse. Don Lothario is able to deco his house with some plants as well. There are some pretty awesome goodies in there too!

Well I am more than a dullard. I get the red x when double clicking after unraring what am I suppose to do with the exe file? I did try mounting to Daemon but it doesn't recognize the file, so then what am I doing wrong?

You need an ISO for Daemon. The ISO is the disc. Install using the ISO, and replace the original .exe with this new No-DVD .exe. The last step is the most important. Also, don't destroy the original .exe in case of a patch.

Really I should be a blond didn't quite get it is just the crack sorry    now, just have to wait to download the torrent - not too many seeding and lots of leaching.

If you look at it's exe it is Sims2EP9 not Sims2SP whatever. How can they come out with an EP and call it an SP or have an SP that's named as an EP? EAxis does nothing but confuse me and piss me off.

That's funny I see nothing in this thread that explains why EAxis doesn't know is they are putting out an EP or an SP. My point is that they are the most full of shit company ever. How can you not even name your product properly? It's bad enough they had an SP that needed to be patched but to have an SP that is labeled as an EP.

Well, if you take a look at BHAVs, some of them are named after the EP, like "EP6 - Is Lot a Vacation Lot?" or something similar. There are many of them which are labeled either "EP8", "EP13" or "EP16", etc.
I guess we players know how to properly call EPs and SPs way better than EA programmers themselves.

I think the EP/SP might have been decided later depending on how they wanted to market it.  If they had sold M&G as an EP, we would have all been screeching bloody murder.  There's just not enough of a feature set there: quarter tile placement and a few new animations.  It does sort of look like they intended something more than an SP, and stopped short.  Frankly, they did something smart for once selling it as a turbo-SP, rather than cheating us of a proper EP.
