The AL aquarium crashes my game... noCD crack issue?

The large aquarium that came with AL crashes my game when I try to click on it.  It does so even in a clean game, and has done so ever since I installed the EP.  In fact, I wouldn't have known what the hell that cube was if I hadn't asked someone.
Because of completely unrelated issues I recently acquired a new hard drive and re-installed Windows as well as every application on my system, including Sims 2 and all EPs.  Let me repeat; on a completely new physical hard drive.
The problem persists.
It continued to happen with the first patch, and now I just installed the second patch and still it makes the game crash.

Is anyone else having this issue?
I'm using the noCD crack from gamecopyworld.

I can live without another fish tank in the game, but I'm curious.

Edit: I could have sworn I posted in the Podium.  This is the second time I do that.

Gwill, Targa's invisible water (no bubbles) hack causes that. I had the same problem.

Thank you!  I have that, but I believe it's outside the downloads folder somewhere.
