Sim looks pregnant... She's not. ((SOLVED))

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

So, ever since my Sim popped her baby out, she's kept her big-belly look. I've checked her and she isn't pregnant, she just looks like she is. Has anyone seen this/know how to fix it?

I can has all EPs, Holiday Stuff, Teen Style Stuff, and Glamour Life Stuff.

I usually use InSim if that happens. I just make the sim pregnant up the same stage she was at and then terminate the pregnancy. Normally the stomach goes away. I think you can do it in debug as well. I'm not sure though.

Too bad insim doesn't work in RL.  It sure would make things much less akward when my kid opens her mouth about body shapes out in public.  I've had to do the duck and run many times because she is convinced anyone that isn't sporting a flat belly has a baby in there.   Embarrassed

I had this happen when I had a sim get the coughing death while she was pregnant. After dying, she was no longer knocked up, but she continued to sport the belly. No matter how many times I "fixed" it with Insim and SimPE, it never took. I ended up nuking the Hood. A new EP came out. =p

I will admit to not considering knocking her up again. I didn't want the first baby.

Yes, I'd considered that, but strangely enough never tried it. I'll give it a go after class.

Jelly- I can't remember, but I think my Sim died also while pregnant. The baby was still there after I res'd her though, which was odd.

You should also be able to use the lot debugger, if you don't have Insim. Same methodology, just be in debug mode with her active and shift-click on the debugger and choose "Nuke...pregnancy token".

Zazazu, I did look around in the lot debugger for such an option, but none exists. I think it may be because she's not really pregnant, so there's no token to nuke. Or something. Tongue

ETA: InSim worked like a charm. Thanks to all who replied. Smiley

Have you tried just forcing an error on her so she resets? I think that's what I did when I had a sim be stuck with a baby bump.

No, of course not. I wasn't terribly clear. When I said "Same methodology", I was referring to getting her pregnant again, then nuking the token.

I did try that- no dice.

Zazazu- I see. Yes, that does make sense.

I thought pregnant dead sims gave birth after resurrection.  Not that I've ever tried it myself, but it's what I had heard.

It could be that I nuked her pregnancy after resurrection. I do remember clearly that I would terminate the pregnancy, then 24 hours later she would get a bump. I'd terminate again. 24 hours later, bump again. If I terminated the pregnancy then went to another lot, she'd waddle around in maternity clothes, but no bump. I gave up eventually. It's a reason why I don't use Insim anymore. It didn't work as advertised. Twojeffs morning after pill works so much better.

Final solution- Get stuck Sim pregnant with InSim and terminate pregnancy. Bye bye fake baby bump!

Would it also work to have her get pregnant and then actually have the baby?  I mean, would that effectively reset her pregnancy state and such?  Just thinking of family sims who like lots of kids anyway.  lol

Yes, that would work, too. The bump actually went away right when I got her pregnant again.
