I agree with you Dudeus - it's frustrating that they expect everybody to pay for their crap that's messed up.

Edit:  I just now contacted them and mentioned to them that the chair is messed up.  I took a picture of it in the game just as proof.  As soon as I get a response, I'll let everybody know what they said.  They better fix it.

The two LIFO files for the metal texture are missing.

hopefully the chair can be fixed maybe EA/Maxis will catch it an update the chair....   (i sent the issuse to EA thru their customer Support "they claim i'll hear something in 24 hours)

Her are temporay fixed Cubic Chair until we get the fixed one from EA, and a fixed Deco Chair who updates now the metal part also not only wood and cloth.

Edit: removed attachement we got the fixed CubicChair from Richief

I think that will be done eventually. They'll prolly have to fix items this time around too so I'd prolly just keep track on this thread for updates. Thank you to all that are spending their money on these items and share it us Grin
Sorry about not checking here first I wasn't sure people would be interested to do it this time aorund.

Here are the new Spooky objects at The Sims 2 Store - 17 total - I bought all 17 - it wouldn't let me upload the rar file here.  Here's the link http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?g26mgx9csga - I hope they don't update The Sims 2 Store anymore.  Maybe they won't after The Sims 3 is out.
Something is wrong with that upload. Everytime I try to download it I get a file with 0 kb!
Could you try to upload it once more, please?

And btw thanx for sharing with us.  Kiss

It worked fine for me.  It might be your connection or browser or something.

Thanks so much Havelock.  I got a response - here's what they said: "Response (Yves M.) 09/03/2008 11:35 AM Hello,

Thank you for updating Electronic Arts Technical Support. I understand that one of the items you purchased from The Sims 2 Store has corrupted graphics.

Please try re-downloading the item by performing this procedure:
- Please make sure that the game is not running and you are logged out of EA Download
- Open My Documents
- Open EA Games
- There should be a 'The Sims 2 Store Edition' folder; Please rename that to anything.
- Login to your EA Download Manager; It should start downloading the items again
- Start The Sims 2 Store Edition to start the game

Should you require further assistance about this or any Electronic Arts game in the future, please visit our website and review our extensive Self Help Knowledgebase (http://support.ea.com).

Thanks,

Yves
EA Technical Support"

I love the way they made it sound like the fault lies with me.  I sent the report back in with this response and saying that it isn't my fault and they have to fix the chair - I'm suppose to get a response within 24 hours.  I'll post what they say when I get another response.  This is so frustrating.

Edit:  Since Richief uploaded the missing texture, I told EA I didn't need and answer to my question.

Thanks Richief, a question though, does the Cubic chair show up for you without any problems? It seems to have some missing textures (?) or is it just me?

The same here.

Sorry for causing such controversy, the error was mine (not EA). I forgot to include the metal textures.

Download Cubic Chair

Get fixed Deco Chair (by Havelock) in next post.

Thx Richief for the fixed Cubic Chair but your Deco Chair is still broken and would not update the metal part to match the desk metal part so get the fixed one here.

Undecided Even the EAxis version has no matching metal parts!

Edit:
Here are the 4 male zombie outfits (Suit from Beyond the Grave), they look great for castaways.

Download

Also Fixed the Spooky stuff, Windows could use all tree colors now, fixed diagonal one tile door to use recolors of the straight one. Removed tons of duplicate resources in all packages. At last Catalog entrys for all Diagonal Windows and the onetile Door are correct now.

get them here: http://www.mediafire.com/?nb24pzjixpn

Also corrected price for spooky wall lamp and streetlight. Wall lamp costs §170, and streetlight costs §600. Get them here.

I just have one question - I hope somebody can answer it - how do you enable hair for elders?  Edit:  Knightguy, I downloaded your 3 hairs.  I purchased that afcornrowbeads - which I was going to enable it for elders before I posted.  I looked at it in SimsPE and it says its for elders too, but, when I looked at it in bodyshop, for the elders it's the straight hair.  I had an adult female sim with that hair and when I made her an elder, that hair was the straight hair.  I have no idea what to do.  I'll go ahead and upload the hair and somebody with knowledge can enable it for elders.

Here's the link for the afcornrowbeads hair - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?1vdn0gosrty

Edit: Thanks Knightguy for enabling it for elders.  I don't think I could have figured it out - one of these days I need to learn how to do stuff like that.

if your talking about 3 hairs already posted i enabled them for elders  Wink  Post 518

the Elders hair textures are usually in the file but missing the base txmt, 3DIR gray hair needs editing, nmap txmt needs the gray base one added, the gray hair property set is usually messing up too

Havelock could proably give a better How-To then me

afhaircornrowbeads Enabled for Elders gotten by jaldeer in Post 533  http://www.mediafire.com/?1dlwcsetwcq

knightguy, I'm unfamiliar with the 7z format in which your Elder Enabled hairs are posted.  I seem to remember that it's another file compression format, but the Stuffit Expander on my Mac doesn't recognize it.  Is there a specific de-compressor that I need to have to open 7z files - a de-compressor that works with Macs?

Thanks for the help!  And apologies for the brief thread hijacking...   Wink

You need a decompressor that supports .7z files, here is one that is compatible with Macs: Download. It also supports .zip files.

Actually I think the jack o lantern is from the Spooky collection so I downloaded that. As for the zombie hair for children, toddlers and teens, I don't have any simpoints and I don't feel comfortable giving my credit card information to that site.

It was EAxis who has broken the Chair, they wrote this in tsDesignModeSlaveSubsets                 frame=(String) fabric, metal
which caused the game not to recognize the metal part as a slavesubset in designmode            frame=(String) fabric, metal  is the corrected string you see a simple space caused the metalpart not to update his color when you switch the Chair design.
