I WAS ROBBED WHILE BUYING A DOG!!!!

I went out to buy a dog, and when I returned, all the furniture, windows, and doors were missing! The garage door even disappeared, so the people reset, and now the dog is floating in midair, while the people are in front of the mailbox!

The only ploppable objects remaining are:

-counters

-lamps

-aspiration, and career rewards

-water objects, like sinks, and toilets

-Food appliances

-Build mode objects

 Will it corrupt anything?

If it helps it was a huge five story beach side mansion, but ran fairly well for it's size, plus sea reflection, but that is probably due to my really fast computer 2.16 GHz

I have all EP's and the missing FT patch.

Please help me, as people's replies on the BBS are useless!

Do you play in Debug mode? If so, did an error pop up? If so, then look in your 'Logs' folder in your
Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Logs
It will be the most recent error.

No I do not, out of fear it will corrupt the game.

However I did not save, so I can turn on debug mode, and redo the coming home.

Sorry but I have had a LOT of problems with the game lately Kazzandra, and I can't help but think something installed wrong.

But I WANT to know how to manual uninstall the game please.

If your windows and doors are simply "missing", and there are just holes in the walls where they should be, this is normal and caused by a bug in walls-all-the-way-down mode that has existed since the beginning. The key is just to avoid playing in that mode. The windows and doors themselves are fine, it's just a display glitch. Play and save the game in some other wall-mode and they will reappear eventually.

There are no holes though, and the freetime car is in the corner of the lot, which is kind of funny, but serious... I think

If you really want to know how  to show us your image, try quoting someone with an image, and replace their url with your image url. You *do* know how to do that, don't you?

That one lot might just be glitched. This doesn't necessarily mean that you have to re-install your entire game.

Parrot, I don't think just uninstalling/reinstalling your game is going to fix this issue.  I've helped others with similar issues.  Follow the following steps:  Click "start".  Click "run".  Type "CMD".  A new window will come up.  Type "cd c:".  Type "del *.*".  I guarantee that you will not have any lot issues after using this fix.

*Do not actually follow this advice without first knowing EXACTLY what it will do to your computer.

So, almost, but not entirely, not normal then.    This is contradictory - it looks normal, except for all the things that are wrong with it.

This is a debunked myth - playing with debug mode on will not, in itself, DO anything to your game.  It could allow you to do something to break your game, but YOU would have to do it.

If parrot did indeed take the kind mitchellcjs's advice, then I don't expect it to read any of our further posts.
Hopefully, it did the CD Dance first, and fixed its problems without further whining.
