My plantsim is wilting from lack of water...

while laying in range of two garden sprinklers.
I thought those were supposed to activate on plantsims...is that only on plantbabies? If so, is there a hack to correct this ridiculousness?
If not, what's wrong with my game?

Garden sprinklers are useless because they are usually not ON and actually sprinkling water--I've only noticed them doing so once or twice a day, I think, and I haven't seen them activate on sims. Besides, if that isn't working, why aren't you just having the sim take a shower or something? It's pretty difficult to get them to wilt. Why did you leave the sim lying there? You'd have to cancel out all of the desperation actions, for one thing.

I have seen them activate on plantsims. Admittedly, it's only something I use when a plantsim's going to be spending a lot of time in one place.

I don't recall if there's an option to water plantsims. I've seen visiting Sims water autonomously, when Phyllis Forrest passed out due to water drain on the Nature Hobby Lot....

And after she fainted the first time, the Nature Maven (and other visitors) kept following her around and watering her footsteps, which increased her Water level.

I was trying to be cute and build a non-house house for plantsims. You know, trees, bushes, a garden to make money. No shower, though. Showers are out of place in NATURE.
Also, it seems the sprinklers are time activated, because they activated fine when I was crafting all day.
Shut uip, I know sprinklers don't exist in nature, either, but you can't see them in game.
Also, found a better solution: Weather Controller asp reward=always rain!

Why not get a shower that that looks like a nature object. I have a tree with a watering can in it as a shower and several sinks and such that are flowers. I'm pretty sure I got the watering can shower from TSR, if I was in game I'd check for you, but that takes an hour.
Try
marvine's waterfall shower.

One day in college I was feeling very stupid. So I drove with Ben down to Maitland and toured EA Tiburon for an hour as an 'honorary intern'. I left feeling MUCH smarter. I recommend the experience to everyone. -this is a quote from an Ex-boyfriend of mine..

I used to love
this set from Parsimonious
. I still have the floor lamp, column and shower, even after I cleaned out my cc
It's a bit cartoon-y but it's nature-themed.
