Sim is missing, in limbo, house is gone

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I have a Sim in university that was in a dorm. She is/was a junior. Now her dorm is gone (disappeared/invisible?). I can invite her over with the phone, she still shows up on the family tree, but I can't play her because I can't find her lot. I've tried to teleport her over, then propose Move In, but the move in just falls out of the queue. I"ve tried boolprop adding her to family. I've tried the addneighbortofamily on cheat.

Any idea how I can rescue her from limbo?

thanks!

Use the Inge teleporter shrub or Insimenator teleporter+family tree to move them in. Then use the newspaper to move them to the bin.

It sounds like the dorm's lot descriptor is AWOL. You need to restore the Lot Descriptor entry from an older backup of that neighborhood file, and the lot should reappear. Otherwise it will remain lost in space as an orphaned file in your neighborhood directory.
