When pie menus don't stay up

I'm having this problem where pie menus disappear within a second after I click on a Sim or object. This doesn't give me much time to get to those important second-tier pie menus!

Things I've tried:

- Delete groups.cache
- Check for stuck things in keyboard (really)

Has this happened to anybody else?

I sometimes click the mouse button and don't get a menu, but that's most likely a mouse issue.

I usually get that when I thought I wasn't going to get a menu but it was just taking a long time coming up, and I have clicked on something else by then - usually by mistake.   It's possible your mouse is sending spurious clicks?

I've tried it with both the optical mouse attached to my laptop (via USB), as well as with my laptop's mouse/touchpad. Both generate the same results, which makes me think that it could be a game issue, or a keyboard issue.

Try having a multiple tap at <shift> <alt> <ctrl> - basically any other keys that might get hit in the course of things - I don't know what causes it, but, most of the time, playing key tappy (and also toggling any function key settings) helps on my machine when it happens to me.

Perhaps your menus need something advertised in those ads for impotence?  (Sorry, just something that popped in my head when I saw the subject line )
