This looks interesting. You can
generate random names
that are from different parts of the world. There are mythology, fairy, classical and biblical sections also.
Doesn't seem to generate a lastname though.

I've been using that for ages. I'm horrible at coming up with names myself, so it's very handy.
Be careful when picking just one category, as some categories have very few names. I wasn't paying too much attention when naming my island vacation sims, so I have several Ikaikas, Iekikas and Wikolias.

Well, there's
this
site, but I don't see a randomizer option.

It wouldn't be too difficult to make one though based on those lists. In the meantime you could use this
http://www.mdani.demon.co.uk/para/random.htm
and this page
http://surnames.behindthename.com/top/lists/1000uss1990.php
Or top 100 of your country choice.

I generally use this page:
http://seventhsanctum.com/index-name.php
or this page:
http://www.kleimo.com/random/name.cfm
both are fun times. \
/ And give first and last names.

I love the seventh sanctum site! Where else would I have gotten the inspiration to be a Chaotic Cuddly class?

I use the no-tech way of coming with names ofr my sims, baby name books. Last names I randomly pull out of a phone book.

Then there's going through your high school magazines. I found all sorts of surnames I would never have thought of using, from a wide range of backgrounds beyond the typical British or German descent to be found in South Australia. Names of former work colleagues may also be found in my game, also from a wide range of backgrounds.

<br />Also, thank god for Google spellcheck. Otherwise, this post would be intelligible. <br />
