When I play the game, there should normally be 8 slots available at the left side of the screen to show the Sims that are part of that household. For the last few months, I've only been allowed six. If I ever have more than six Sims in a household, they're carried over to the right to start a new column (kind of like when it shows the Pets). Is there any way I can fix this that doesn't involve me reinstalling the entire game? What could have caused this malfunction? It doesn't affect gameplay a lot, but it is rather annoying.
I'm not sure if this is related to me playing the game in Windows mode or not, but I thought i'd ask anyways.

What resolution are you using? Smaller resolutions mess up the UI.

Windowed mode also does it, depending on resolution/window size. Mine can hold eight sim icons, but will only allow me to see either their Wants panel or their Needs panel, not both, unless I shut down and resume play in standard non-windowed mode.

Screen display resolution is at 1024x768, if that's what you're talking about.

Yep, that resolution + windowed mode will shorten your sim list and/or move a couple of em over to the "pets" line. If you go back to fullscreen, it should line all your sims up where they should be. |

...and I have it at 1024x768 and can fit 12. Maybe 13, haven't tried. But no sissy windowed-mode. |

Widescreen is a bit annoying with Sims, especially the CAS. The properties window appears in the center of the screen, the CAS scene is centered differently than the windows.
