Moved in dormie-townie, she's graduated but only has four want slots

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

My playable sim "joined union" with a girl she met in college, but when this girl moved in, she didn't get her extra want slots. She still only has four, but since she has graduated, the debugger won't let me upgrade her.

I did a search, and found a couple of references to TJ's college adjuster, but all the threads were pretty old. So, what I'm asking is, is there a newer fix for this, or is it the TJ adjuster?

You could try Christianlov's counterfeit college diploma. It allows you to add want slots and/or choose a degree (and the grade received). I have it and can upload it here, if sims2graveyard is still down.

TJ's adjuster works fine in and out of Uni.  It's priceless in my hood.

I still use TJ's college adjuster.  I'm thinking, though, that I recently saw a way to do it with the testing cheat (i.e., "boolprop").  Or I could just be dreaming that last part .....  If I were home, I'd check.

I use TJ's college adjuster for this problem too.

The latest Lot Debugger includes a "Fix..." option to automatically correct incorrect numbers of want/fear slots and locks.

Will that also fix a sim who through some accident at uni ended up with too many want slots?  I'm still not sure what happened, but in the end I added an extra want lock and had her drop out - I just didn't want to see what would happen if the game tried to give her a 7th want slot.

I had one and there was no problem.  It displays 6 but keeps track of all 7 so every now and then he'd get aspiration points from a want I didn't even know he had.

Yes, it should correct all cases of buggy want slots, giving the correct number regardless of whether your sim passed, dropped out, or got expelled.

Oh, awesome. I got the college adjuster before the Debugger was updated, but now that it is, I'm keeping the debugger and getting rid of the college adjuster. Baaah!

At the version I'm using, the Adjuster has a bug in it which causes it to mangle the GPA of college graduates. I find this behavior to be slightly useful in the esoteric conditions I use the item in, but never, ever, touch that button if you don't know why you'd want that.

The college adjuster has its own handiness. It's has the option to turn a sim into a vampire, and I've found the skill randomizer handy for dormies who move into the hood with way less skills than they should have at that point in their life.

I like randomness with my playables, so I use the college adjuster to randomise aspiration while my YAs are at their exams at the end of the 2nd year of college.  So that they get the memory, I set their asp to the new asp when they come back from the exams and get the "do you want to change asp" question.
