Strange Uni want

One of my YA's, Eric, just started his senior year in college.  When I checked his wants I was startled to see that he wants his older brother Evan to go to college.  The problem is, Evan is dead!  He died about 8 Sim days ago, killed by a cowplant while visiting another lot on the day before he would have aged to adult (i.e. he was still a teen at the time).  If Evan was still alive he'd be in his early 30's by now.  The game clearly knows Evan is dead; he's showing as grayed out in the family tree and does not appear in the family in SimPE.

I'm wondering if Eric rolled this want because he does not have a close relationship with any other teens in the hood?  Even so, you'd think it would filter out the dead ones 

Is there a hack to prevent wants for other Sims to go to college?  I seem to remember something about this but I didn't pay much attention at the time since I hadn't played Uni in a very long time.

   Pescado has NoCollegeObsession   .  It doesn't block all of them out (from my experience) just those teens who are close to going to college are allowed thru.

Is nocollegeobsession petz compatible?

I just realized I can't find it in the pets directory, though I do have it in my game, and they're still rolling up those dumbshit wants.

If it's not updated for pets, I don't even know what it's doing in my game.

It's in the director's cut, so I would assume so.

I just checked and I do have nocollegeobsession installed.  It didn't prevent this particular situation.
