THANKS THIS IS GREAT

When my family screen is in it's loading process, there are pictures of dead family members that still remain in it.

I know of one way to fix this (sort of.....and it seems quite involved Roll Eyes ) so I was wondering is there a hack I can use to get rid of their pics from the family screen?

Other than that, it isn't causing any problems with game play whatsoever, so should I just leave well enough alone and live with it? I don't really want to have to put up with it though, because I am a bit anal retentive  Wink and would prefer that my game was asthetically pristine at least  Smiley

Try using a teleporter object to teleport the ghost into the house. You'll get the message "So-and-So has died on another lot, etc". Hopefully, that should clear them off the family screen.

The easiest way to fix it is to move the family out of the house and back in again.

You can prevent this from happening in the future with Pescado's "death bug fix".

Hope this helps.

I used SimPE to delete the dead family member from the lot.

In SimPE, find the lot they live in, open that lot instance and it shows who all lives there.  Mine showed that the dead sim was still living in the house, so I deleted her.  When I went back to that lot, the little info screen showed her in the picture that displays when the lot loads, but when I clicked on the 'I' in a circle (info), it properly showed the other family members, but not her.  I entered the lot, and she still showed on the loading screen.  Exited lot, saved, loaded the lot again and she was then off the loading screenshot.

You also need the death fix to stop it happening again: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=10.0

The teleporter painting/shrub/whatever seems to do the trick.
