Double Bed in Inventory Bug?

Whenever I pull a double bed from the inventory it no longer functions as a double bed.  A couple can sleep on it, but they won't spoon and can't interact with one another beyond Chatting.  I also have to truen moveobejcts on to place it against a wall, but I have to do that with almost anything coming out of the inventory.

I'm not sure if this is a known issure, or isolated to my fooey profile.

Have you installed the second patch for Nightlife? This very issue should now be resolved.

Yeah, I just found it.  I'll see if it works. I'll have tp wait a while on my desktop, tho.  And for some reason my XPS laptop plays TS2 REALLY slowly.

You know, I looked at this patch the other day and when I scanned over the list, I thought for sure I had already downloaded it.  Then I read here that it was posted on 7 Feb and thought what-the?  So here we go again...

Do you try to play all EPs on your laptop?  Mine just about copes with Uni, and very few downloads.

True, it would not have hurt for EA/Maxis to make it more clear this is a SECOND patch...

But then they'd have had to admit the first one wasn't much good!

Heh. This is EA GAMES, a company which employs slave labour and usually releases games which are almost unplayable until the first patch is out, because the game ships based on marketing reasons, not completion level.
Multiple patches are very much a given.

Since I installed the second patch, I put everything from a 2 bedroom house into the inventory, including a car, plants and trees etc. When I moved the family to their new main n'hood lot from downtown-everything placed and worked just fine I had debug mode on and there were no errors at all.

That's good!  I must admit, I've never had a problem moving students between Uni and the main hood with a full inventory, but from downtown to the main hood could be problems.

*chuckles*  They won't even admit they're patches, instead using the term 'update'.  LOL

This problem doesn't only show up going from neighborhood to DT and the like, oh no.  It also happens while moving within the main neighborhood.  I figured this was the main reason they put in the family funds cheat--this way I could reimburse my simmies to the exact simolean amount they'd lost having to replace their bugged furnishings!

I never got any bugged furnishings, wherever I moved my sims, but there were problems moving them into houses occasionally.  But I don't usually take that much in the inventory, just the expensive items.
