Greenhouse roof

I apologize if this is in the wrong place or a stupid question - I've looked for answers everywhere.

I've tried everything and can not get the greenhouse roof decorations to make the underlying roof tiles invisible. I've downloaded packaged and simpack versions, I've loaded store fix overrides and package fixes. In game I have done every combination of ceiling/floor/roof construction.

Most recently I deleted the mydocs/ea/sims3 folder and started fresh with just your download (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15100.msg602309.html#msg602309), and the launcher says it can't load because something isn't updated. I know my game is up to date so I am at a loss.

I've never had any trouble with store content before...

Any suggestions?

No one uses the launcher here, so does the game load anyway? If so, the Launcher's opinion is irrelevant.

Oh I meant to install the greenhouse sims pack. I assumed the launcher was the safest way to install those?

You can use the launcher to install store content, yes. You don't need the launcher to load the game though.
