I broke the family how does I fixing it SOLVED

I created a beautiful family, but there's a corrupt file (a sweater, of all things) that made him invisible in CAS sometimes and I had never experienced this so I assumed everything would be fine and it obviously was not.

Well, they're stuck in the Family Bin and when I try to place them (merge or on their own lot) the game crashes. They have the best faces I've ever made and I don't want to throw them away.

Is there ANY way I can edit a family while they're in the Family Bin!? Any kind of hack or mod!?
(or, can i extract them from some file and put them into the saved sim bin)

How about removing the borked CC?

I thought that I had tried that already, but just to make sure I did it again and removed more content and placed them in a new, specially made Test neighborhood.
It worked


It turns out that it was a hair file, not the sweater or texture on it.
