Explanation of AwesomeMod Jealousy option?

I have played the game extensively with this option both on and off.. and I don't see a difference in jealousy behaviors at all.
Am I am idiot?
Is the option just there to open the door for other mods, and doesn't actually change anything?

And on the topic of jealousy.. I would really like an option/mod that disabled jealousy for romantic interests. Only a girlfriend or wife should have the right to get jealous! Or at least a mod that makes jealousy room based like in TS2..
I've done some searches and all I can find are mods that shut jealousy down altogether, which I would rather not do. Does anyone know of a good jealousy mod I may be missing?

Awesome jealousy just allows you to use a different jealously mod without causing conflict.
At least that's what I thought...

That's what the current version should be like, it restricts the detection range greatly.
