Launcher Crashing??

Ok, a week or so ago the launcher started crashing every time I open it, as in, it opens, then when I click the big PLAY button the button stays "depressed" looking and the whole thing crashes. When this happened the first time it was just after I patched to 1.4 so I reinstalled the game and didn't install that patch but now it's doing it again GAH! Halp??

What are the specs of your computer? It might be that your computer doesn't have enough RAM and hard drive. Then starting the game would be like asking youself to calculate pi, whilst making pie, and traveling to Australia to serve said pie within two seconds.

Haha fair enough but I don't think that's it. I have 4GB RAM and like 150GB HD so yeah.... If it means anything iTunes and Word were having issues opening too... it's odd.

Hmm, that is a tad odd that other programs are having launching issues. Do you have an antivirus program? There is certain malware that runs in the backgrounds of computer and is huge, which cause other programs to slow down.

Well that doesn't sound good, I'll do a scan and see what happens
EDIT: I did a complete scan and nothing came up. Hmmm?

I recommend just using the .exe, and skipping the whole Launcher BS.
Look at
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe
to skip the Lawn Chair.
