Unlucky Sims. Hmmm

Getting bored the other day I set out to kill off an annoying next-door fambly. Bugger me if Grimmy won't take Sims with the unlucky trait before their time.

I four times got a message saying "Your misfortune amuses me and all those around you. I won't deprive others of that amusement"

My Gawd, these unlucky Sims are fire, water, starvation and electric proof.

Yeah, pretty much. The only way an unlucky sim can die is of old age, as far as I know.

Really? I coulda sworn I was feeling really angsty one day and tried to burn an entire family's house down only to realize a daughter was Unlucky. I gave up and testingcheatsenabled her Hunger down and Grimmy took her.

I killed her as a teen prematurely, so it is possible, though mebbe only cheatable...

Anyone else tried this?

I have an unlucky sim Grim will not take, and I've tried to kill him a LOT (I was using him to get Grim to visit so that the lady of the house could romance him) - he was very useful in this respect. Anyway, the majority of the time I was cheating his health down and still Grim didn't take him. I'll be interested to see what happens when he becomes an elder.

Unlucky sims cannot be killed, period. They will always live out the entireity of their natural lives. It's actually quite a powerful trait.

So why are they called unlucky?

Seeing that their unlucky life should be miserable, I guess that giving them more of it is quite sadistic.
