I need help please

This is my first post here.  I have all expansions installed and all stuff packs except for the holiday ones.  I played Sims 2 Mansions and Gardens last night until around 12:30 a.m. everything seemed fine.  When I tried to load the game this morning I get an error message telling me The Sims 2  a big red X  and then the only button to push is OK.  I don't know what is wrong.  The cd player seems to be working.  I put in a couple other cds to check and they both worked.  Any help would be appreciated.

Try deleting your cache files.

Thank you so much for your help.  Tried your suggestion after I got home yesterday and the game loads fine.
