Driveways...How to pave?

Just wondering how you can pave over the yuk standard maxis driveways? I downloaded an invisible driveway from TSR but surely there's a way to put down a surface of your choice on the orginal ones?

I think any tiles you place in the same area as a driveway go under the driveway, so the only option is an invisible one. Though looking at 'The House of Fallen Trees' in downtown it seems that putting terrain under the driveway area makes the driveway invisible in the neighborhood view, if you care about that at all.

if you pave underneath the driveway, I'm pretty sure the pavers are seen in the neighbourhood view instead of the driveway.

Frustrating. Guess that I will have to stick to the invisble driveway cause I hate the standard Maxis ones. And yeah, I don't care about my neighbourhood view, rather I want all my outside pavements to 'match'. Just thought I might be missing something in terms of a cheat or the like.

I just use the invisible one and then use whatever floor tiles or terrain paints I want in that spot. Works for me.
You can enable all the road floor tiles via unhiding them in one of the install files or you can download buyable unlocked versions of them.
