Encouraging for everyone?

J.M. I wonder if it is possible to make the encouraging factor work for everyone, by that I mean if someone could encourage another sim no matter the age. As far as I have seen it only works on the kids now correct me if I'm wrong.
Would especially be nice for the E-mail challenge when you marry someone and you need them to be sloppy. It could also work to make someone more outgoing or active.

The Encouragifactor obeys the standard rules of encouraging: Must have a family relationship and be of a greater age category. The case you're describing doesn't work because usually the two sims involved are of the same age category, and therefore cannot encourage.

too bad they have to be related, I have often moved a sim out on his own and then moved in a townie teen to the rents house that I want the sim to marry, (to grow up) only they cant encourage the skills I want without being related.
