annoying money "cha-ching" with lawyer lectern use, way to disable?

Tonight I had my first opportunity for a sim to try out the Lawyer career reward podium. He's skillinating his Charisma on it, and the "cha-ching" sound going off every 2 seconds as he practices is hugely annoying. Is there any way to turn this sound off without muting my game or muting all sound effects? Whoever thought it was a good idea to have a skill-building item essentially chime every other second while in use ought to be thrashed with a huge stinky fish!

There's a lot of noises that get really redundant. I could do away with the "in the zone" noise. Really, do we need that even when they sleep? I forgo the law podium and go for the politicians' one. The simoleans aren't worth the cha-ching!

Either Dizzy or TJ made a hack to make the zone noises go away.

jfade made a hack to make the zone noises go away. There's another hack to make the aura go as well, but I kinda like that.

Carrigon has No Budget Transaction Sound over at Sims2Workshop.

Does that budget transactio​n sound bug you?  Does is keep you from letting your sims play with the card table or the new Tiki pinball machine?  I've silenced this annoyance.   Sims will still make budget transactio​ns, but you will never hear that awful sound again.  The only time you might hear it is when you are in buy or build mode.

The gamer career reward has the same annoying feature in addition to horrible music.
