Is there a hack to opt out of plantsimism?

I want some of my sims to have outdoor gardens without the risk of becoming a plantsim.  I wish you could just have a switch or something to turn it on and off.  Anything out there anywhere like that?

It doesn't have to be TRUE to be funny. All we need is to take some minor thing you said, blow it up out of context, multiply by over 9000, and voila, you have a schtick. Sims are all about caricature, after all.

JFade has made a no plant sim hack, it's at DJS Sims. Stops any chance of plantsim-ism.

But that stops ALL sims from becoming plantsims; if you just want to be able to pick who gets to be green and who doesn't, and some of the "not" sims have gardens.... try ladybug houses.

Ach, the lag! Ladybug houses are presently not recommended, as they're just as bad as the problem they try to solve. A hack is currently being investigated to resolve the lag issues produced by bugs.

oh yeah, I guess my computer is just powerful, as I thought about the lag briefly when placing several dozen ladybug houses on a lot, but haven't noticed too much ^^ then again, most of the lot in question is a big garden, so there's not much else to cause lag.

EDIT: ignore me. I'd forgotten that with almost 50 ladybug houses on the lot, while there's not much lag at speed 1, speeds 2 and 3 go (at best) as fast as speed 1. It shouldn't ever be slower to use speed 3 than 1 >.>
