I'm guessing you have the first holiday pack as only the santa outfits are enabled.
But what about the ones that were in the 2nd holiday pack?
the long santa coats and the kimonos and hakamas?.
And how about the child elf outfits, Wouldn't seem right to have it snowing and the "elves" running around without their elf outfits. :p
my santa has a toy shop and "elf labor"
i may be too dumb but if you point me to how you set them I can try to do it myself Smiley

One day in college I was feeling very stupid. So I drove with Ben down to Maitland and toured EA Tiburon for an hour as an 'honorary intern'. I left feeling MUCH smarter. I recommend the experience to everyone.  -this is a quote from an Ex-boyfriend of mine..

Extract the property sets from the original game packages, then change the category line to 1000 for outer wear.
Formal is 20.  Everyday is 7.  Add them together to enable for several categories.  Make sure you have the correct amount of Zeroes in front.

Windkeeper has a great tutorial at TSR about recategorizing in general.  It's a great start since it explains the category stuff much better than I can.  I don't think it's updated for seasons, but just remember that outerwear is 1000 and you'll be fine.

Baaaaah!
thanks for the point in the right direction. this should be interesting seeing as i have no idea what i'm doing.

Edit: just thought i'd come back, say i failed, and say that i found someone at MTS2 who had done it so i didn't have to keep tring.
:/ my finger slipped and loaded the neighborhood files, yay for me. I had to re-install seasons

Would it be possible for these coats from the glamour pack be added as outerwear?

I'm pretty sure one of these files already does that -- I have them as outerwear in my game, and the only hacks I have for outerwear are these.  They show up as custom outerwear, I believe.

Try Delphi's Download Organizer.  http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=227925

It still incorrectly flags a few things (older skin tones and hair recolors, mostly) as orphans, but it's great for finding meshes with missing textures and vice versa.

Errr, it's not really a mesh problem, as these just recategorize existing Maxis clothes.

Being tacky and double-posting.

Turns out the culprit was...another Simsbaby mod. The ones enabling GLS stuff for elders, unfortunately  Undecided I pulled those two mods and suddenly I have long wool coats in outerwear.
