THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Just in case the creator lurks here, or there is someone out there who is as big of a fan as I am, I am putting a call out there for anyone who has her stuff in their game.

She has changed her site around several times, and culls a lot of her stuff regularly.

Anyway, here is one of the outfits I am looking for.  If anyone has it, I would beg that you please send it to me.  Grin

I don't have that particular outfit, but she does have a site up today  http://www.serasims.de.vu/  I love her necklaces. Just went to her site and it's working.

Yeah, I know the site is working, but she keeps removing all her old stuff from the site, and now she has barely anything left.  She also contributes on MTS2 and SimChic, but the stuff I'm looking for is not there.

Thanks for looking though.  Smiley

I just figured you could ask her to dig up that outfit for you.  Most of the time she doesn't have a working website. Ask her to uncull it for you. Or, ask her to ask the creator.

I emailed the site owner last night, and got a response back today.  She said eventually she'll put the older stuff back up, but she doesn't have much time to update the site right now.  I had asked her if a donation to her site would enable someone to get access to the older stuff she had on the site.

I guess we'll see what happens.  Undecided

I don't think she speaks all that much English, but at least she replied.

* BlueSoup sighs.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to find a different outfit.  Also, I just remembered what else I deleted, and I'm bitter about that too.  Stupid, stupid BlueSoup.

On the other hand, if anyone knows how to restore the Recycle Bin after you've emptied it, I would be totally grateful.  Kiss

well there are several file recovery programs out there, a lot of them are free

You can check this site or this site out for some utilities. The problem however is you may have already overwritten the sectors...who knows unless you try.

Blue, just be advised that the more you write to your disk at home, the less chance you have of recovering your files. (pretty much anytime your computer is on and you are operating it you are writing to disk) What this means is, when files are deleted, they really arent deleted, the space they occupy is simply marked available, so when you come along and start doing something on the computer, the computer may use this "available" space (sector) to write to, thus overwriting what was there - your files that were marked deleted. Of course it is possible with hardcore data recovery programs for pros to get the info off the disk..but thats a whole other ball game.

For optimum assurance you best bet would be to write one of these programs to a cd or floppy, (one I posted can go on a floppy and is free) and run it from the floppy or disc when you get home. I dont know if you have a writer at work or not, or if you feel comfy accessing those sites from work...but just as a fore warning.

What on earth did you do to your recycle bin?  I empty mine all the time, and it's still there!  won't let McAfeee touch it, though!  Window Washer shreds the contents, but McAfee say it shreds the BIN!

She means she wants to get back a file (i.e. the outfit she was asking about) that she had put in the recycle bin, and then emptied the bin, not that she lost the bin itself.

Zeph, I have told McAfee to shred my recycle bin hundreds of times and the "bin" itself is still there, its just the files that get shredded.

Right, it's just the way it puts it!  I'll maybe do that instead, although unless it does a better job, I'll probably still click the window Washer option as it's first!

Recycle bins are for wussies. When I press the delete key, files get deleted. No questions, no "keeping them around". DELETED!
