Game doesnt load past, Is it a File problem?

Sorry, im a noob at this but.
I recently just downloaded the Sims2 Apartment Life along with other expansion packs, and I actually managed to get it to run.

Although it doesn't load past the loading screen. It just sits there playing a nice melody, It doesn't even start to begin to load.

Am i missing some files prehaps? Or do I need to move any files?




Any help for this?

I'm guessing by your statement "I actually managed to get it to run" your computer probably isn't great at meeting TS2's high system requirements. It normally takes 10 minutes of the loading screen on my computer before I actually see any progress on the loading bar simply because I have a shit load of custom content which lags everything.

It shouldn't be a problem with the files because the sims installer automatically puts everything in the correct place, so I'm guessing your computer isn't fast enough or lacks memory and is causing a severe lag, or simply causes it to crash and not respond.

How many times have you attempted to restart it? And how long do you leave it before you get sick of waiting?
