Custom neighborhoods causes my system to reboot...
« on: 2005 November 24, 05:57:07 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Every time I attempt to create a new neighborhood the game crashes to a full reboot of my system. I only use the maxis neighborhood templates, and really have no problems with the maxis made neighborhoods.
As far as hacks go, just JM and TwoJeffs and one by crammyboy and only the ones that are compatible with Nightlife. I have all the expansion packs and the holiday pack, but have really had this problem since day one.  Any ideas why this would happen?

Rename the sims2 folder that lives under 'My Documents'. Call it 'Sims2_current' or something.

Start up the game again and it will create a new 'sims 2' folder. Try creating a new n'hood then and see what happens. If you can succesfully create a n'hood, move your downloads, saved sims, n'hoods or whatever to the new sims 2 folder.
