Makeover station glitch?

If it is a glitch it is a useful one.

I have a servo with a gold cosmetology badge who runs a salon. Every so often (there is no pattern to it that I can see) I have the "Modify Facial Structure" screen come up when giving a makeover and  this works fine, transforming some very ugly townies.

I did search for related topics but did not find this issue specifically. Is this a known glitch?

If it wasn't before, it is now.  I've had the glitch, too -- many, many times.  It doesn't have anything to do with servos.
I wish it could be invoked at will, but I seem to recall that JMP said that it was impossible to stomp failed makeovers, so I doubt he'd make a hack for this.  There are other, less phail-worthy ways of applying surgery.
