I fail at life (simulations)

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

Earlier this year, after installing Bon Voyage, I started having problems with custom neighbourhoods not working.  Despite the wealth of knowledge on this site, I never did figure out what was wrong.  I'm getting damned sick of using Maxis neighbourhoods, so I decided to suck it up and do a complete reinstall to see if that works.

...However, I can't seem to get the stupid program to uninstall.  Is there some sort of magical chant that I'm not aware of?  Is there a certain order to uninstall?  When I try to use the uninstall program, nothing happens. Same deal if I go through control panel's remove program feature.

Anyone have any suggestions that don't involve a blowtorch?

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.  Tongue

Reformatting and reinstalling everything (including the OS) is my preferred method.

I had the same problem recently with another program and had to manually delete it.  I just deleted the program and cleaned all of it's entries from my registry (using CCleaner).  Not as clean as dizzy's method but I haven't had any issues as of yet (any time I've done this).  I'm only a baby nerd though so you might want to do some research with potential problems that can be caused by such a procedure before you try it.  Since I lack disks for my OS it was kind of my only option barring an annoying road trip to my step dad's house.

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

For anyone who cares, I managed to remove the game from my computer.

I threatened it with a hot soldering iron.

Now the fun of reinstalling EVERYTHING. :-P
