1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Submit Issues about Nightlife on: 2005 September 23, 17:09:22
I run my game with "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" running and have all kinds of error reports for my missing nanny mobile, and some of the poker table (missing animations, mostly), and still others for the game machines. The only thing I don't see a report in there for is the people leaving as soon as they get there for a date. Would it help if I sent in the a single copy of each type of error report so that they can see what is happening? I'm going to go through them one by one. Hopefully, I'll find one that mentions the leaving early problem.

Only problem I've had with the Karioke machine is trying to get a Sim to "Sing With". It just doesn't happen, the date says there is something blocking the path.

Hmm, that is something to think about. Except that these two came on a Tuesday and Thursday I would totally agree. I guess I'll have to check their inventories... but why would a brand new sim that's barely been in a house one day get a hate letter on bill day? aaarrrrrggghhh... am I going to have to break down and buy that awful guide to really see what all is new in this expansion? LOL

Ahh... such a simple thing, I missed it! LOL Got to get new bifocals, or maybe trifocals so I can see those little details a bit better! LOL

At first I thought it was something to do with one of my Sims being very angry at her cheating Ex. She got the bill, and before she put it down, it caught fire and disappeared.
Then I put a brand new, non-angry Sim in a downtown lot and his first bill came. I had him go out to the box to get it, and when he did he looked at hit, his hands glowed with fire and his bill also disappeared. Okay, so is this a new way for Sims to end up getting things repossessed or is it just their way or protesting their bills? It's funny for now, but if stuff starts getting repossessed it could be a disaster!

I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one annoyed by this new "problem". I did a search, btw, and this thread did NOT come up! Strange how that happened. I find that custom content warning screen to be extremely annoying, and have removed all my Maxis made downloads until we have a way to fix it. hmm... I just hope no one has that fru fru lion sculpture or the cherub in their front yards. LOL

I hope you are right. It sure is annoying to have to tell the game that it's okay to enable those downloads every time you fire it up though. Sad

I've been super careful. I did a totally clean install, even cleaned up other areas of my computer while I was cleaning up all traces of Sims2, defragmenting, etc. before installing the game. I figured I could easily reinstall all the Maxis downloads from the offical TS2 site with no problem. They *should* be compatible, right?
WRONG!!! According to the game every one of the Maxis/EA downloads is incomptatible. They "overwrite global" something or others... Sorry, I didn't happen to write it all down.
Any idea if leaving them in and telling the game to enable them anyway will cause a problem in the future? I'm almost afraid to leave them, but there are a couple of items on some of my lots in my playing neighborhood "Second Chance". I'm still impressed that my backup of my neighborhood went into the game without a hitch, or glitch!
