1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Viviana: Girl or Boy? Wha? on: 2007 June 24, 20:37:31
Oh goodness no!  I only have approved awesome hacks and I don't want to change any Sim's gender.  So I haven't been dabbling in gender-changing.

I'll get on the game briefly and see whether Vivi's clothes are female or male.

Back when I installed this onto my laptop, I did have CAS Sims have female faces on a male body, so that freaked me out (it probably was the sucky video card playing with my brain).  I wonder if it's doing it again...

Edit:  Ah, Vivi is a girl.  Her clothes are female as well as her hair.  I suppose the game found it funny to give her a mini fro  Roll Eyes
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Viviana: Girl or Boy? Wha? on: 2007 June 24, 02:33:10
I've had the same neighborhood for about a year.  I have a feeling it's going to explode soon, as I have several Sim kids in generations 6 and 7 of my modified Legacy Challenge.

However, today I had an odd thing occur.  Yes, I did a search before posting, and all that was determined that this was a glitch.  But first, this family had a baby girl.  Ok, I give it the name Viviana.  Then a couple days later I grow the baby up and...it's a boy?

It looks like a boy toddler. It has the hair like one.  It looks like his/her daddy.  Yet in SimPE it's flagged as a girl.  Say wha?

Not sure what's up with this, nor do I know if it's fixable.  I'll keep you all posted to see if this will be my first gay Sim.   Shocked
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Second Seasons Patch is out.... on: 2007 June 13, 14:53:44
I haven't had any problems with my neighborhood, so I'll probably skip this patch.

Besides, I like the fact that I dumped the Ottomas twins onto an unsuspecting Romance downtownie male.  He's still in my Sim Bin ready for an unsuspecting Romance female.   Tongue
4  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: A Million Hojillion Challenges From Frenzied Spammer on: 2007 June 04, 14:06:53
Huh if that's the case, I've played that challenge too.  Dear lord the monkey women.   Cheesy
5  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: In the Beginning Challenge! on: 2007 June 04, 14:03:05
I feel like I'm already doing this with Legacy Challenge.  Can this be done with notownieregen?  Now THAT'D be interesting.  Not to mention kinda dirty, with incest...eew.  Maybe not.  Then again, these Sims are silly enough to lose their Family ties by gen 4 so maybe it's not THAT bad...
6  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: A Million Hojillion Challenges From Frenzied Spammer on: 2007 June 04, 14:00:55
So another words, variants of playing a Romance Sim/Bachelorette Challenge?
7  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Level Challenge! on: 2007 June 04, 13:59:34
I had discovered the Asylum Challenge on another forum.  Sure it was created by another person, but I gave credit to him by posting a link to his rules.  It was also quite interesting, and had plenty of guidelines to go by.  This one seems pretty lame, unless you did this in combination with another challenge, like Legacy or Email or Ethiopian.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Missing Adventurer career? on: 2007 May 31, 02:29:21
I have a zombie Sim that wants to be top of the Law career.  Figures.  It's a good thing zombies don't age, because she still hasn't gotten the job yet.  So it may very well be a bug.  But then again, I've had other Sims who've gotten their dream jobs on the first day upon moving in.  So I dunno what's up with that.   Cheesy
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Ottamas twins in non-RiverBlossom 'hood on: 2007 May 20, 00:24:46
Looks like the random bug was in your favor.  My Samantha was pregnant with a romance male Sim's twins.  I gave them to him and gave them his last name.   Roll Eyes
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Awesomeland: Should Awesomeland Be Reloaded? on: 2007 May 18, 23:31:00
I am only able to maintain a neighborhood for a year and a half before I get bored with it or it explodes.  Usually it's from my own ignorance on the latter.

I have high hopes for the one I'm playing now.  I am getting minor errors but I'm not taking pictures of those.   Roll Eyes

I say nuke it and start over.  Have a Chee-Z in your college.   Wink
11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Bluescreen "IRQL not less or equal" on start-up on: 2007 May 06, 00:25:42
If you can, try to update the drivers and BIOS.  That's what I had to do when I had this similar problem.  Apparently my old drivers did not like it when I took pictures in Sims.   Roll Eyes

13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is there an easy way to empty a family's dresser? on: 2007 April 23, 02:02:30
I'm probably one of the morons that actually likes this feature.  It saves time from using the clothing tool...uh oh!  *ducks from flying rocks!*
14  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / WTH? on: 2007 April 14, 21:52:34
I go into a house I usually play on my rotation, and the teenaged daughter is transparent.  I do a force error and she disappears from the game (ie her pic in the panel is gone).  So I move the family out and back in.  She's gone!  Yet she shows up in the family portrait on loading...but I can't move her to Uni!  Is she a lost cause?  I don't know WTH happened to her and I'm not sure what I would've done!  :S

Edit:  I check the family tree and she shows up as dead. Wha!?

Edit 2:  now I'm checking to see if she's ressurectable.  If she did happen to die, why on Earth did the game not flag it with "Your Sim has died on another lot" instead of freaking me out with her appearing as a ghost?   Roll Eyes

Edit 3:  I"m such a dumbass.  She got eaten by her friend's grandfather's cowplant!   Cheesy  It still doesn't explain this phenomena though.
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Runaway Cat found by Social Bunny on: 2007 March 07, 17:48:51
I accidentally solved the runaway pet problem by moving a family out of a house and back in.  The cat in question was with the family again but was still flagged as being a runaway.  It's odd but hey.  What's even more strange is the social bunny thing... Undecided
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 07, 04:33:36
That would make sense about the bottles.  All the adults on the lot were in green aspiration and were not able to feed the quads smart milk during that period (tending to quads = no time to get the meter up!).  I had the always smart milk function off, yet I did not realize that it was an autonomous action to make the milk anyway.  Yet even when I deleted the baby controller, the parents were still reaching toward the fridge until I had to delete the fridge!  Craziness...
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 06, 19:46:00
It's funny because I haven't had this problem before I installed Seasons (or with other families...), but if it's been happening before Seasons, then it might be an isolated issue concerning this household.  Interesting.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 06, 19:30:26
I'm not sure if it's mod related, but I seem to be having trouble with Sim parents who want to give their toddlers billions of bottles when they're not hungry.  Would this be because I have quadruplet toddlers?  I was quite relieved when they grew to be children, but I had to remove the fridge, emergency stop the baby controller, and have three adults tending those kids at once.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Stupid pets wants on: 2007 March 06, 17:03:03
I can see a Sim who has nothing else on its mind wanting to interact with a pet, but in my case I've had Sims who've gone to college and have since moved into a different house roll wants to interact with the family pet.  It's annoying.  I either have the hack installed and it doesn't work, or I need to get it and put it in my game.  I'm tired and I'm doing a backup before I install Seasons.  *crosses fingers for luck!*
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Wanting to Re-Generate my Townies. on: 2007 March 06, 05:10:23
If one is unhappy with the townies he has, take the ugly ones and start a community cemetary.  The cute ones can be made over.  You can also go into SimPE and change their names.  It may not be a total fix of getting rid of townies, but it's better than making the neighborhood go explodey.  Sorry you lost your neighborhood but it's a risk to go into the game and fiddle with integral files like that.   Sad
21  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Mar MATY "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Hair! on: 2007 March 02, 09:41:51
I actually downloaded the Big Tease.  The teen hair actually looks good, but it doesn't work in YA.   Cheesy

My brother found a treasure trove of hair that looks awful.  I need to figure out where he got them.

From Sims 2 Sisters

My God I hate this hair  Cheesy
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Someone have Seasons Bonus? on: 2007 March 01, 05:17:19
Really?!   Shocked  I'm only able to get it if it's less than $30.   Cheesy
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 25, 18:27:18
Now I'm getting used to the patch.  I find the maid with the newly dyed hair amusing.  I've only had two babies grow up with the wrong hair color, and their eyebrows tell me what color the hair should be.

But still, I'm wondering what stuff will happen to my game when I install Seasons.  What silly bugs will be introduced?  Will I have glitched houses because I left the Renu-Orb on my lots again?
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 13, 16:00:27
I played earlier today and two more babies transitioned to toddler.  Neither had hair problems, they came with the hair SimPE said they'd grow up with.  I guess that hair thing is a random glitch.

As for the borked genetics, I have a ton of fugly Sims, and they're all pre-patch.  Do not breed Sims with Blake Lawson, for example.  He has a gigantic nose when he grows up.  I was unfortunate to have a Brittany Upsnott spawn marry him, and here's their decendent:

Also, the unfortunate Sim who grew up from teen to adult with the awful genetics, he reminds me of Alvin Curtin.  Do not breed a Sim with him either! Here's his kid, and oh lord, his nose!

25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pets patch released on: 2007 February 12, 15:52:03
I don't really want to have to uninstall the patch, since I have vampires and whatnot, but could somebody make a fix where a toddler with a dormie black haired dad and a red/black haired 5th gen mother does NOT get red hair and black eyebrows?
That's a hardcoded problem. The vampires problem is already fixed in the vampirefixes here, so you won't have any problems with vampires even without the patch if you install that.

Huh I thought I had your fix installed and I still had problems.  I go and check and apparently I do not have it installed.  Funny considering I do remember downloading the darn thing...

Edit:  Apparently I may've had either an old version of it and it was deleted out of my folder, or I just never did stick it in the ol' dl folder *smacks head*

Ok...mainly I ask because I don't want to have to uninstall this patch.  Pain in the ass, IMHO.
