TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is there a cheat to increase lot size?

Perhaps I didn't spell it well (slums or slams, don't know), but we name the poor people, living in poor build areas (like Harlem, or Bronks) - slams (slums). They usually have low intelligence, and are hard-working for their living. We have too areas of this kind, and the young generation wants to run away from there, and achieve a higher rate of life... . Err .... where I come from, the slums are the poorer neighbourhoods, not the people who live there ..

Don't know if this is a bug or not, but it sounds as if it's akin to the handheld/scanner problem. I had a Sim buy coffee for the Contessa (who she was friends with, but not best friends) and they both developed crushes on each other. I think, in one of these threads, Maxoid Tom said that would be addressed in the patch. The original idea was something akin to buying someone a drink at a bar ..

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Invisible Memories - Virus Spreading Fast

What exactly are "invisible memories"? Memories that appear in SimPE but not in-game?
Yeah .. they tend to be memories that belong to other sims. If they directly witness a memory-creating event, or learn about it through gossip, they gain an invisible memory about it. They then transfer it to other sims through gossip.

Good lord .. they expect the average user to follow all that?
I hate how their first answer is always to tell people to shut down all open processes. You shouldn't go shutting down processes in task manager, willy nilly, unless you actually know what they are and whether it's safe to do so. And telling people to shut down their virus scanners and fire walls is just dangerous.

thanks everybody I thought it was just me, but actually the hairdo does not look like a hat to me, I thought it was a bow in her hair. It's not that it is a hat, the game just treats it as a hat, since it would be a little silly to sleep or go swimming with that massive thing on your head .

I don't have NL, yet, so can't really comment on how things are working with the attraction system in place.
Personally, though, I always saw it as sort of like rock stars. Most of them are butt-ugly with the personality of a toad, but that doesn't stop the swarms of groupies ..

Idiots on the BBS are claiming that this thread doesn't exist, and that we are all liars. They probably can't handle that bugs exist so freely in the game, becuase Maxis are above human and can't make mistakes, clearly.
Well, of course they can't find this thread. They probably can't afford the monthly subscription ..

My sims tend to stay faithful. Personally, I don't have too much interest in destroying their marriages by having them cheat. I do have a romance sim, though, that lives by himself in a little disco shack. He woohoos anyone who walks by the lot .

08 - problem in non-English languages (fixed in patch). Also may be a soundcard issue (AC97), or performance dropping sounds (put audio settings on highest)
... And while this is a problem with non-USEnglish games, will it have a fix in the patch? You quoted the answer to your question, eh ..

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Help looking for 2 hacks
|

I don't think this is the right place to ask for an 'eat all you want and never get fat' hack. JM tends to make hacks that remove annoyances and things that aren't logical. His solution was to create a hack that stopped sims from eating when they weren't hungry. Making them always stay thin, no matter how much they gorge, is moderately cheaty, and not the sort of thing I've seen JM create.

Look at this article that appeared (unsolicited) in my personal email: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An Unnatural Disaster: A Hurricane Exposes the Man-Made Disaster of the Welfare State
An Objectivist Review
by Robert Tracinski | The Intellectual Activist I really hope the author is alone in feeling that was in any way, shape, or form, objective. I'd be pretty worried if that's what passes as objective journalism, these days ..

My sim-kids live on muffins. Parents are too busy doing other stuff to make food for them. Come to think of it, my sim-parents rarely interact with their kids ...

I feel so plain and ordinary, now, just having the two cats. We had a dog, too, but had to put her down last year :/.
We took care of a friend's ferret and another friend's iguanna for a while. They scared the hell out of me. The iguanna hated us, would posture and attack the glass of his tank whenever we were in the room, and bit my hand when I was putting food in it's tank.

Even so, you'll probably get a townie that you think is unattractive, regardless of what your Sim thinks. Well, that goes for any townie, really, doesn't it?
