I don't know about coffee tables.  I've always put them right on the floor next to the beds.

my sims had  snapdragons on either side of the bed on the floor.  After install they couldn't go to bed. I had to put them on endtables then they could get in.  My female sim sat and sewed for hours. My male sim would sew about a sim hour then quit.

My sims took forever to learn Tai Chi.  I finally put Merola's mirror on a lot and grabbed a local and had them start.  Then everyone joined in.  My daughter's sims learned in less than 2 hours into their vacation with no problem.  She went to all the grocery lots and put stereos on  them and then when she goes to them everyone is dancing or doing tai chi

My sim came back from vacation and I picked the extra want slot for him.  I had 2 wants locked for him and when the extra slot disappeared the locks did too and everything rerolled.

The extra want slot is good for only 48 hours.
yes I know but it rerolled ALL slots even locked ones.

My sim came back from vacation and I picked the extra want slot for him.  I had 2 wants locked for him and when the extra slot disappeared the locks did too and everything rerolled.  It was most annoying because he got married on vacation and one was have a baby and the wife was expecting.

well he pees every time he's on my lot.  The Prima guide says he shows up for snow or fish on the lot and if there's a golden trout anywhere on the lot and if you feed him he'll pee I haven't fed him but he still pees

one of my sims bought the red  barn store and went there in winter and half the store floor was covered in snow.  I would think that the upper floor would prevent the lower floor getting covered but it didn't.  One mod I would like to see is a no penguin sign.  I'm tired of mopping penguin pee and my daughters say that the penguin can steal fish straight out of your inventory.  Even when I shoo them they're back in an hour or so

alright I gave up and reinstalled everything.  I did just fine untill OfB. it installed and at the end said please insert disc. this was with the original disc.  I get the same message with the game drive burn from the original disc. (made the day I bought the game saved from the dead computer) I thought maybe it was a scratch or something on the real disc.  I can back up and work with just NL but I'd really like to play with OfB. Do I need to uninstall game drive? I've been playing since the beginning of the game with it in and it worked fine on the old computer.or is it the disc and game drive?  there are some scratches on the disc but nothing huge

Ok I'm a total addict. My computer died this summer and I was broke so no sims saved up got a new notebook from walmart.  I've had it for 6 days now.  I did install game drive a few days ago but hadn't used it yet. Today I was playing for a while then shut down and installed office and did an update on it.  also installed some cc but just furniture. when I restarted the sims it said "Please ensure open for business disc is in the drive and select ok to retry".  the disc was in the drive at the time. I checked the disc and washed it just to be sure. same thing I uninstalled and tried nightlife got the same error.  I reinstalled burned a vcd and tried it in game drive I installed family fun from my vcd (disc died a tragic death in the hands of a friends child) still won't workany ideas please.  I saw someone else had installed a no cd patch and that worked but the only one I found was for Daemon and I assume it would bethe same as game drive.  PLease help the sims withdrawl is already starting

Maxis bragged that you could do this before the release of the core game.  Of course they also bragged about weather and a bunch of other stuff that never materialized.  They said you could own your own vacation house as well as your main house.

Ok I need the wants electronics tree but I can't find it.  Is it not posted yet or am I just blind?  My computer crashed and I lost everthing including my backups on the second drive.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Anyone else frustrated with all the sitenames that start with "Sim"? on: 2005 November 02, 03:57:45
well I only have about 5 bookmarked.  For sim searching I use the b list. they have short descriptions and marks for skins, objects, Sims 1 or 2, etc.  It isn't always up to date but it's easier than clogging my favorites with sites I only visit on a downloading binge

actually I found one that I haven't seen anywhere. I have a starter sim with a mini fridge. when he makes a sandwich or cereal on top of the fridge he does a jump and the food disappears. if I put the fridge inside the counter it works like normal.
