1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Tooltip for CAS? on: 2010 August 16, 01:17:28
Saraswati, there is now a way to at least identify CC as long as you have patch 1.12 or above. http://www.simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Installing_Sims_3_Package_Files/Setup_and_Files

At least EAxis did one thing right.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Tooltip for CAS? on: 2010 August 13, 03:14:52
I've done some searching for this & even posted on MTS but haven't had any luck in getting an answer. I was hoping maybe someone here more awesome than myself could help me.

I remember back in TS2 when you were in CAS if you moused over a CC item a tooltip would pop up giving a description of the time (if the creator used one of course) and I was wondering if there's anything like that in TS3 & I'm just missing it. I've got some CC that's missing meshes & I've combined all my packages using the new Custom Launcher so trying the usual method of taking out a few packages at a time would be even more time consuming than usual. (I used to have my CC all organized my type, place downloaded from & even creator on some places. Much easier to sort through but it took much more time to load the game.)

I know CAS CC has a description in the .package file, but I've never seen any kind in game. It seems kind of silly to me to have a description for something if you can't see it in game.

I've got Ambitions if that makes a difference. Thanks for the help!

I don't think it has anything to do with CC since these were unaltered base game houses. looks like I'm going to have to reinstall everything yet again. This sucks!
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: I think I broke it! on: 2010 April 02, 01:10:13
took down the last photo because it's probably too hard to see but bits & pieces of the houses in the neighborhood are pitch black, and as for the other three the floor is also pitch black. The first two pics are of the Goth's house (the garage & the lower level where the pool is) and the second one is the Working Family's house if that's any help. At first I thought maybe it was a lighting thing but when I put in some lights I still had the same problem. On some other houses I've also had windows show up black.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / I think I broke it! on: 2010 April 02, 00:13:06
After attempting to decrapify all my cc, presets, library, saves etc. I went to play my game and noticed that some things are pitch black! Is there anyway to fix this or am I going to have to reinstall everything?

6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: If you REALLY want to use Launcher to install Sims3Pack with 1.8/2.3 on: 2010 January 03, 20:13:54
I think I must have done something wrong, but I'm not sure what since I followed the instructions. I'm running the launcher from the working launcher folder, but when I try to install something I get an error saying "Unable to start game. Service Initialization Failed (ox6224dd27)"

Any idea what could be causing this & how to fix it?
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.8/2.3 plus Create a World Released on: 2009 December 31, 16:00:42
Thought I'd also add that my Launcher seems to be working fine. I've blocked it with my firewall, you have to do it for both the base game and WA, but I've been able to install a world and some lots from MTS.

If you don't mind me asking, what firewall are you using? I'd love to be able to get my launcher working again.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Installing pirated store stuff? on: 2009 December 26, 18:31:55
I know there's probably a thread out there for this, so before you say search, I have. However, I have limited vision so searching through pages & pages of posts is very difficult.

I'm trying to install the pirated store stuff but the launcher won't install it. I have base game & the latest patch (which from what I can tell has screwed the launcher)

So has anyone found a way to install the store files after installing the latest patch?

10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Hair not showing up right... on: 2009 August 11, 04:51:51
whenever I click on the female mohawk, this is what I get:

I've tried deleting all my CC & running the game, still no luck. Next I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game and even after that & with no CC I still get the same problem. Is this happening to anyone else? What could be causing this?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Editing Store files on: 2009 July 01, 03:56:15
I ran them through Jfades's compressorizer...would that do it? I'm guessing not but am not sure since I know a copy of s3rc came with that program.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Editing Store files on: 2009 June 29, 23:54:33
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but figured I'd ask anyway. Is there anyway to edit/ extract the CAS parts from store files? I wanted to change the color of the necklace on one of the shirts...or if at all possible just make it recolorable since there's only 3 recolorable spots being used. (Can't remember the name, but it's the one w/ the blue beaded necklace)

Also, is there a way to add a recolorable part to objects/CAS parts that are only using 2 or 3 slots? I can think of a bunch of things (especially clothing)  where this would be useful.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Deleting CC on: 2009 June 16, 17:47:14
Thanks guys...just one more question. What about the stuff that came in full sets? Is there anyway to delete just a single object from it, or am I screwed as far as that goes?

Looks like I'll have to get my space back the hard way as I used Jfade's tool & didn't know you could run the DCCache stuff through it safely.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Deleting CC on: 2009 June 16, 05:58:29
When I downloaded the stuff here from the store, I didn't look at everything to see what I wanted & didn't want, and now I've found some stuff I don't want...I tried to delete it but the delete button is grayed out...same goes with patterns. Is there anyway to delete these items or am I stuck with them for good?
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Subfolders for downloads? on: 2009 June 04, 04:56:27
Hello, I'm wondering if it's possible to do subfolders like we did in TS2. I like to keep my downloads organized but w/ all the different steps I've ready about installing CC I'm totally lost.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Recoloring BV jewelery.... on: 2009 May 05, 17:59:27
I supposed I could give it a go....gotta find the files for the jewelry first (Haven't been able to find them yet). And as for converting, I've done some mesh conversions before.

EDIT: Ok, I got them recatagorized, but I think I broke something in the process. This is what I get when I get to the AF earrings. Any ideas? I didn't do anything with the mesh, just extracted the XML data & changed it from jewelery to accessory, so I have no clue what might be causing this. Also, don't know if this makes a difference, but I got the XML data for these earrings from the FT Jewelry.package.

17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Recoloring BV jewelery.... on: 2009 May 01, 09:13:48
I'm guessing that will require using SimPE? and if so, how?
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Recoloring BV jewelery.... on: 2009 May 01, 06:37:55
Does anyone know if there's a way to recolor and/or convert the maxis BV jewelry (like making the stuff in the misc. category for teens) since it doesn't show up in BS? I've asked around on other forums but no one has ever given me a response, so I was hoping someone more awesome than me could help me out. Thanks in advance!
19  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: AL/Bodyshop won't work!!! on: 2008 September 27, 13:00:48
Long load time isn't my problem though. After about 3 times of running BS, I get a message saying that the sims 2 Body Shop has stopped working & will close no more then 10 seconds after I click on the icon. Also, when that starts happening, my game won't work either.
20  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: AL/Bodyshop won't work!!! on: 2008 September 27, 10:41:20
Have you tried deleting the cigen.package in you Sims 2 folder? It's a body shop file that will regenerate when you start up body shop.
I tried that the first time around. Got rid of cigen.package, and the two .cache files, but that, along with restarting the computer did nothing. I eventually had to reinstall.

Are you using the bodyshop exe for AL? If so, try running BS in a 'clean' install of the game, no CC. (Rename your 'Sims 2' folder to 'Sims 2 main' and running the game to generate a new install) Seriously, my BS is open and running within 3-5 minutes of clicking the exe and I have some clothing unlockers and a few bits of clothing meshes in there.
Tried that the first time too, and when I reinstalled I waited to put my CC back. After about the 3rd-4th time of running BS, I got the message saying it stopped responding. Just did my 4th reinstall last night. I'm getting used to it by now, it's just really irritating to have to do this every few days & have no clue what's wrong.

I don't know if this will help, but I'm running Vista with a 2.0Ghz processor & 1 gig of ram. We're working on updating the computer, but don't have the $$ at this point.
21  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / AL/Bodyshop won't work!!! on: 2008 September 27, 00:08:27
I got AL about a week after it came out, and have only been able to really play it about 3 times because of a problem I've been having. I do a lot of stuff in Bodyshop, and after only running it about 3 times it stopped working. The next time I tried to open it I got a message saying "The Sims 2 Body Shop has stopped working" almost as soon as I clicked on the icon. I tried running the game and nothing happened, not even an error message. After I got rid of my downloads folder and restarting my computer, I tried running them again, and still the same thing happened. I did a full uninstall/reinstall and ran the game once before putting my downloads folder back in. Everything was fine, for about 2 more times of running the game & 3 with bodyshop....so far I've had to uninstall/ reinstall the game at least 3 times, and am now preparing for the 4th as everything has stopped working again. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? Having to do this every few days is really beginning to get on my nerves! Angry

Here's the clothing meshes for anyone that wants them. Let me know if you want the hair meshes too & I'll work on them as well.

23  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 16, 17:41:07
It's just separating the mesh from recolor package, that way if someone wanted to convert them or something they wouldn't have to dig through the package to find all the parts.
24  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: TS2 Store Stuff on: 2008 July 15, 22:37:13
Would anyone be interested in a separate mesh package for each outfit? I'm working on them right now, and if you'd like I can upload them when I'm done.
