i have new laptop with windows 7 and insalled all sets updates and game works better then on my windows xp which gives me an error message when i try to download anything from store without having first opened launcher something about the application failed to inintailize and to make sure i dont have more then one applications running at a tiem.

you need to put the nocd and framework in the wa folder for it to work.  and the dll goes in the game/bin folder in wa folder.  i have been using the nocd on 3 diff pc's laptops no problem.

i found this information at ea bbs and have tried it and it worked for me no more error 16.

Backing Up Saved Game Files
Before attempting to fix your saved games, please back-up your saved game files. In Windows 7 and Vista, go to:

My Documents (Documents) > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Saves

Highlight every .sims3 and .sims.backup file > Right Click... > Copy

If you have folders, for example "Riverview.sims3/sims3.backup/sims3.bad", leave them there (there were created by The Sims 3 Patches 1.5/1.6).

Create a new folder somewhere (e.g. The Desktop) > Right Click... > New Folder (enter any old name) > Paste

Start The Game

Once you've made a back-up, it's time to make the game do some of the leg work.

Open The Sims 3 Launcher > Start the game.

When at the loading screen, load up one of your saved games. Once loaded, go to:

"Options" > "Save As..."

You can use a new name, or just over-write the file (I over-wrote mine, and it worked fine).

Close The Sims 3.

Open Documents and go to the Save folder again.

Delete ANY .sims3 files (not folders). These include the sims3.backup files. I only had .sims3.backup files.

Open The Game Again

Open The Sims 3 Launcher and play the game again.

Just click "Save" and it should hopefully save the game without Error 16. It should also load noticably faster.


Open Saves Folder Again
Check to see if there are THREE folders, named (for example):

-Riverview.sims3
-Riverview.sims3.backup
-Riverview.sims3.bad

YOU'RE DONE!

After Thought...

It looks like the error is quite a simple one. The game is attempting to load and save the saved games from and to multiple files because it still thinks the old save type (the files) are still of some use, so it loads slower and glitches at the same time. The sims3.backup files are the ones left behind when you click to "Save As", which disrupts the saving pattern of the game.

Ok perhaps i should clarify.  i a using the no cd crack,  but i never overwrote the tslhost.dll file when i exchanged the ts3.exe file.  The original tslhost.dll file is still in game.  My question is is should i have used a different tslhost.dll file when using the no cd file?  and if so does anyone know where i can find it as it was not included in the downloads for the no cd crack.  The only reference i see for the tslhost.dll file is that is should be included in the crack folder with either the razor or reloaded files.   

I have been using the no cd crack  so i dont need to put disk in dont use the awesome fix.  (its my daughters laptop so i try to keep it vanilla)  and someone posted on another site that if you use it you should make sure that you put this file back to original  TSLHost.dll  before attempting to install patch.  I only put in the no cd file and saved a copy of the original ts3.exe.  should i change the  TSLHost.dll  file and if so where do i find the one i should be using.

i have game just need the no cd crack which is included in this anyone want to just share that with the rest of us.

tried it 3 times.  second time i saved it instead of opening and when i tried to extract it get message about corrupt file. 

when i download i get a message that file is corrupted from winrar.
