Magnificent! All they need is to be made of clear plastic and we've finally got ourselves some bonified hooker shoes.

Is there anywhere we can go to see this paint catalogue? I'd love to be able to know what my Sim is capable of painting instead of assuming it's gonna be something cool, only to find out it isn't.

I went ahead and uploaded the 158 basic paintings to RapidShare so you wouldn't have to dig through the .xml file yourself. Note that I didn't upload all 1580 variations; if you want to see how traits influence the paintings just look a couple of posts up or on the Wiki page for it.

Note: If anyone wants to use these images to create a gallery or post elsewhere or whatever, that's fine with me.

Your fireplaces are too cheap. Upgrade, and they hardly ever catch fire.

But the cheap ones are cute! And the most expensive one is HUGE!

I upgraded mine to fireproof after getting two fires in twelve hours.

Windowed mode works dandy for me. *shrug*

I have it the same size as my screen anyway, and only have it windowed so I can use my second monitor, but when I've made it smaller for whatever reasons it's always continued to look fine. I haven't noticed it running any slower either.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 22, 22:58:35
Unfortunately, a lot of readers aren't smart enough to see through it; it's why she's still in business.

She did address all the issues in that long-ass PM I send her the day before yesterday though, so I feel accomplished.*

*Not that I'm the only one who's been bugging her, but I only speak for myself.

You should add to the license "If your name is Peggy, then by using this tool you agree to pay for my legal fees when I sue yo' bitch ass. Poohead."
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 22, 01:27:10
I responded to that but Peggy deleted it. >Shocked

I sent those people all a PM though.

Writin_Reg, you have not posted anything new. We know Wes has a legal right to his own program. He has stated he has no means to enforce it. What's she going to do if he orders her to cease and desist? She's going to ignore him, that's what.

A few PMBD members posted on her forum last night, stating that she violated Wes's license. Her response? She deleted everything and banned everyone, of course. She didn't ban me, so I PM'd her directly, then she banned me.

She doesn't care, dude.

I guess that's what I get for heading down to that part of town without protection... I feel so dirty.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: HystericalParoxysm releases new hairstyles at MTS! on: 2009 July 20, 08:25:41
Are you sure it was both the hairs? We know the SAU hair still causes crashes, but the Peggy one should be fixed. Though I admit I haven't tried it... I'm not into giant foreheads.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 20, 05:24:39
At the risk of being an asskisser, I don't think the pace seems slow at all. Everyone seems to be ripping this game to pieces like crazy, and it's all very impressive to someone like me who wouldn't even kind of know where to begin.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pregnant sims have no bottom part to their stomachs! on: 2009 July 20, 05:21:08
What do you do to control their wardrobe?  I plan plenty of maternity freindly outfits beforehand hoping the sim will use them instead -  but each and every time, it lands me with this randomy generated crap.  It's great if it's the dress, but I get the jogging suit more often than not.

I put them in a maternity outfit of my choosing before they realize they're pregnant. If I do that, they'll stay in it.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Complete Painting Guide on: 2009 July 19, 23:17:11
Yeah, I figured that out after I read the Prima Guide and saw little to no useful information in it, and several inaccuracies. But, yeah, there's no dabbling. I did see it in the XML tables too though.

I almost finished the painting guide for the Wiki. The information is mostly the same as here (if it weren't, that would be disheartening), though I have maybe a couple of facts that you don't, and you have a couple of facts that I don't. You're welcome to add any of the information from there to your guide. You have all the important information though.

You saw body hair as an accessory? I'll have to look for that and see how it's done. It's ultimately the answer for both genders, in my opinion.
It's by Aikea Guinea at Club Crymsin. I don't think it's showerproof though. I asked her if she had figured out showerproofing accessories a few days ago and she said she hadn't.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pregnant sims have no bottom part to their stomachs! on: 2009 July 18, 04:18:30
Wait... this is news? I've never seen pants with a pregmorph. You'll notice that even in the game's opening movie, the pregnant Sim does not have a bottom to her belly.

I keep my pregnant Sims in dresses.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Complete Painting Guide on: 2009 July 17, 22:53:55
Is any of this information from the Prima Guide? 'Cause I'm testing a lot of it and finding a lot of it to be inaccurate. I've had my Sim paint a small painting at levels 0, 1, and 2 so far and each have taken three hours to complete (no 50% longer). I also don't see the word "dabble" anywhere.

ETA: Nevermind, I read the Prima Guide and it has even less information than I expected. Still no "dabbling," though I did find reference to it somewhere. I asked on LJ if anyone has seen this elusive "Dabble" interaction and no one has so far.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Complete Painting Guide on: 2009 July 08, 09:57:22
I'm working on some painting replacements, so while I'm at it I thought I'd add an example of the way traits influence paintings. Basically, EA made a picture and then ran it through nine basic Photoshop filters. *shrug*

no trait influence

artistic/can't stand art/computer whiz

evil/genius/grumpy

insane/neurotic/virtuoso

Also, this is how many paintings are available per level:
0 - 7
1 - 7
2 - 8
3 - 10
4 - 15
5 - 20
6 - 17
7 - 16
8 - 15
9 - 13
10 - 11
Brilliant - 9
Masterpiece - 10

That's 158 original paintings x10 traits for a total of 1580 paintings possible.

Hurrah.

Also, I'm guessing that a Sim painting above their current level gets their painting classified as brilliant or a masterpiece. As mentioned, any painting as a chance to become a masterpiece. When testing my replacements, my Sim was a level six and painted a level nine painting, which was then classified as "brilliant."
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Easy way to Magical gnomes and are they bugged? on: 2009 July 07, 05:58:55
My gnome (who I named upon acquisition) went outside on his own, was promptly kicked over by the mailman, and then moved when my Sim picked him up--as in, he moved not only while I was looking at him, but while my Sim was holding him. He hasn't moved in the few days since then though.

There are no consistencies! The man on the grassy knoll was, in fact, a gnome!
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Autonomous woo-hoo! Oops ... sorry, honey .... on: 2009 July 06, 00:25:17
I lol'd.

My Sims wish for woo hoo regularly and do some basic romantic interactions, but I've never had them woo hoo autonomously. I guess if they're both in "extremely irresistible" mode it makes sense.

That grandma knows what's up though. That's how I wanna go out.

I don't think a pony would do well in my apartment, but while we're wishing for them I cannot seem to resist.

I would also like a Sims-type spin off game, except better in every way and when my Sims make money at their jobs I get a check in the mail for real money. Also you can have Pokemon as pets.

I love the Hand of God. Every day Momma harvests some apples and then passes one to each of her kiddies even though they're already at school so that they have something to eat while they're out collecting things.

When you master any skill you get a certificate.  That's not news.

Well now there's a picture. Hoo-ray.
