This is no longer necessary for versions of game Uni and up. That was an artifact of preUni when it was necessary to have a receiving controller to process the token. Uni allowed direct frobnication, making this unnecessary.

Ah, good to know.  Grin

Back on topic: I've gotten a lot of inspiration from JadeElliot's Isle of Thyme, but I simplify things.  Her system is very complicated!  Right now, I'm setting up my neighborhood as I go.  The sims who will own businesses borrow from the "banker" sim if they don't have enough money to buy it outright.  Everyone will own businesses or work for someone else.  I haven't really used the business side of OFB much, so this will be interesting.  Sims pay taxes to the mayor at the end of every season, which will be 10% of their net worth.  Some of my sims are renting since they don't have enough to buy a house.  I'm using a combination of Monique's Tenant/Landlord mod and her automatic payment mod.  I can't get the landlord mod to make the payments, so the APM fills in there.  I plan on using the regular college, but adding requirements, such as badges that need to be earned before graduation, etc.  My ultimate goal is to make my sims more unique and not get bored playing the same types over and over again.

I currently pay these by using the familyfunds cheat - but once I have the children move out and there are multiple households with the same name I'm not sure what I will do.

You could use Pescado's money order. I keep one on every lot so they can receive them when I play other lots.

I may be blind but has anyone posted a cleaned version of F001 (Desiderata Valley)?  I have found all the other templates I need but this one eludes me.

I don't think anyone's made one yet.  I've been looking for a cleaned version for awhile, too.

She is using H&M disc to run the game, so Securom must be active for her, unlike most of players who used Pets or Seasons disc until BV came out. Although it is possible that the version shipped with H&M is tad more benign than the one shipped with BV.

Ah, yes, I hadn't thought of that.  I was mainly speaking from my own experience.  I waited to install BV, so I only had to get rid of the inactive SecuROM from H&M.

The sim's needs are supposed to freeze, I think.

I plan on doing some more research on this website before she does, if you know what I mean.  I don't even own BV, so I haven't read some of the posts that will help her to prevent SecuRom.  Although I do understand that she already has SecuRom due to having H&M installed, from what little I have read, the problem mainly starts when you install and load BV.

I had this same problem, but it's easy to fix.  Just have her follow the instructions in the SecuROM thread at the top and download a no CD crack.  It's a lot easier to remove it from the H&M version than the BV version because SecuROM isn't active with H&M.

Does anyone know if Monique's Tenant/Landlord mod needs to be updated?

What part do you need help with?  You're going to have to be more specific.

Does anyone know if someone has updated Monique's Landlord/Tenant mod or would be willing to do so?  Apparently, it stopped working after Seasons and hasn't been fixed.

@ tragic: You put them here: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Seasons\TSData\Res\UserData\Neighborhoods.

Has anyone using the cleaned templates had problems with duplicate families from Pets, Seasons, and BV in the sim bin?  I can't seem to find anything on this problem.  Can I delete them or is it more trouble than it's worth?

ETA: I am dumb.  I forgot to remove my back ups from the game folders.  Oops.   Roll Eyes

Pardon my fangirl squeal.  That is soooo cute!  It's very close to the real thing.  How did you get the "eyebrows"?  The only suggestion would be that he has the bow marking across the chest in the brown.  Awesome job! ::downloads eagerly::

I love your breeds and would love it if you did a Cockapoo.  Here is my puppy:

Obviously, there are many variations!  Grin

I don't know if this helps you, but I have a sheet with each household listed in the order that I play them.  Each household is listed from oldest to youngest.  I also use symbols to help keep track of the children's ages.  It's a good visual way for me to see the entire neighborhood at a glance.
