You're probably right. I have about 400+ items of CC and I just don't think it's capable of handling that many .package files. Would CC through the launcher cause less problems you think?
1. FEWER, not less. Grammar Cat has his eye on you. 2. If your CC is from the Store, and you didn't pay for it, I'd love to see you try to install it through the launcher. Decrapping requires a desire to READ MOAR and follow instructions.

Today i restarted to play the sims3 from a few months brake only to find that all the store stuff i had downloaded wasnt showing up in game. Im kind of confused as to what steps i should take now. Has this problem been fixed? Do i need a fresh download of the items or is there a new method of installing them? Thanks in advance.
I think you should stop trying to play your game while driving. When was the last time you had your BRAKES checked, anyway?

I knew it wouldn't be long before I asked a stupid question on here, and here it is: how do you stop the game from accessing the Internet without stopping it from letting you know when you need to download a patch or whatnot?
You'll know you need to download a patch when you see a thread here about a new patch. These threads always contain a direct link to the patch. Keeping your launcher off the interwebs won't stop you from having a fully patched game.

The garden moodlet must be pretty powerful if it maxed a skill in one short vacation. Were you using the dummy, board breaker, or meditating?
I'll have to send a Sim to China and see if I get the same results. I'm also going to kidnap some French locals and test their nectar skill rates.

I'm not sure, but I think the WA-specific skills level faster, period. My sim went to China and maxed out Martial Arts within one 5-day trip, without the "Disciplined" trait, the "Genius" trait, the "Athletic" trait, OR the "Fast Learner" reward. Compare that to his Music and Charisma skills, which took him forever to max out, even with the "Charismatic" and "Virtuoso" traits. Photography seems to level super-fast too.
None of my non-French Sims have learned the nectar skill at an accelerated rate. I haven't had any Sims learn photography, but I did have one max Martial Arts. He didn't seem learn it any faster than a regular skill, and he was using a training dummy at the library with the Disciplined trait. I never sent him to China, though. I wonder how or if that makes a difference.

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / French locals/nectar skilling

I had a Sim marry a French local, Manon Godard. She comes with level 6 Nectar skill. I moved the family into a house with a basement and set her to work. She leveled up to 7 in fewer than 2 Sim hours. She read a Nectar skilling book while waiting for the machine complete the bottles. She kept leveling up at an insanely fast rate - she went from 9 to 10 in about 5 Sim hours. She wasn't a Genius, didn't have any Logic, and didn't have the Fast Learner reward.
Do all French locals learn the Nectar skill super-quick? Did skilling Nectar in the basement have any effect?

TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Blank family tree portraits
|

Sims who die in-game don't have a portait in the family tree, but dead sims who were already dead in a fresh, never-played neighborhood (Goths) are fine. If I kill Gunther and look at Mortimer's family tree, all of Gunther's info is on the tree, but he has no picture - just a white square. Guther's and Cornelia's parents' pictures are intact. I get the same results with other families. If I summon the ghost, a portait appears in the relationship panel, but the family tree portrait remains blank.
This problem persists in a clean install of the base game, mod-free. I can't figure out what could be causing this. If it were a graphics card issue, wouldn't all of the family tree portaits be blank?

Her Charisma level is 10, she has the celebrity and super-friendly status and the "attractive" (or whatever it is called in English) LTR, so that whenever she encounters a new Sim she'll have the "new friend" moodlet. Now, when I come to think about it, this might be another thing to watch for next time, whether the heart moodlet is kind of replaced with another one that is related to social matters.
You may be onto something here. The last time this happened to me, the sim who lost the moodlet was the only one who left the house and interacted with other sims that day. She went to the park and played for tips, and picked up a couple of friends that way.
