I was a regular poster at BLS--and found it to be a great community.  I didn't talk much to Blue Soup, but I talked to the other people there.  I was very sad when she closed it, and I haven't been a "regular poster" at a forum for a long time.  I have no idea what went on behind the scenes or what caused the drama of "Blue Soup Failed Us."  It's none of my business and I really don't give a kitty--but I was very disapointed in her for closing down BLS.

I've taken mine out since it hasn't been updated for FT.  I'm afraid to try it, even though I've read over there that some folks have had no adverse effects on their game. 

The majority of my Sims are either Arts and Crafts, Tinkering, or Music and Dance.  Since Seasons is my favorite EP, all of my families have orchards, greenhouses, and/or fishing ponds on their lots.  So, they run up more "enthusiasm points" for the Nature Hobby, but then want to go tinker or paint all the time. 

I did buy one of my farmer-dads the junked car and have been letting him tinker on it.  His daughter is a teenager, and I thought it would be a nice present to her for college.  He's a family sim and he and the daughter are close.  Just a little realism for my game, I guess.  LOL

They don't appear over time.  They'll show up at random times, and sometimes from the neighborhood screen when I first open the 'hood.    Worse when I use shaders or camera mods.  I've tried to snap screenshots to post here and ask how to fix, but every screenshot I've taken does not show the distrotion.  The flash of the camera corrects the problem.  LOL  I guess I could use Print Screen, just hadn't thought about it. 

Okay, when I Alt-Ctrl-Delete it shows that I have 70 processes going.  I remember back in the olden days of TS1 there was a program that would cut off all the unnecessary background programs so that the game would run a little smoother.  Is that what this Black Viper program does, Kat?  Or, is there another program out there that does this?  I know that I do not need 70 processes going. . . and I don't know what is necessary and what is not.  It would seem that all I'd need in reality are the "System" processes, right?

And, please do not call yourself stupid.  I did the exact same thing yesterday and now have a new baby named "Baby Boy Pofolk".  The bad thing was that the Mom was already pregnant and was a day away from giving birth.  Since I have a shortage of male babies in my neighborhood I let him stay, but since the Mom was pregnant and miserable already, childcare was not a joy!  LOL

I downloaded some user files from KKK's "Tasty" line that work match up really well with some of the more detailed skins.  Right now I'm using Navesta's new default skins from InSim Adult and KKK's files still look good.  Oh, I got KKK's files at InSim Adult, too.

I find this all very interesting.  I am also having problems with nVidia since I installed BV, but no BSoD, just a lot of graphic artifacts and distortions.  They are much worse after a longer period of gameplay.  I do not use Nortons, I use McAfee, and have always found it to be bloated and a major pain in my backside!

Hi there.  I have done a search and I see that the nVidia graphic cards and TS2 do not play well together.  I'm having an issue since I installed BV.  Every once in a while, I'll get an graphical glitch where the pixels will form a straight line that can be seen straght out to the neighborhood view and, I'm presuming, into the Simmy-sky!  This glitch happens with or without custom content installed.  I first noticed it with a high poly hair file (either Peggy's or Rose's, I can't keep up with who made what LOL) so I removed the high poly hair files from my hair bin. 

My husband and I share our computer, and we both play game on it.  I sim, and he plays FEAR and Call of Duty games.  He updated the drivers for FEAR, and it caused my Sims Game to crash at the neighborhood screen.  I came here a showed him several posts that said that the new nVidia drivers were not compatible with TS2, so grudgingly he went back to an older driver.  My game no longer crashes at the neighborhood screen, but I still get the occasional line-glitch.  Hubby says that FEAR just doesn't play well, and hasn't played it since. 

So, what I'm looking for is a happy medium--what's a nVidia driver that will run both my games and his games well without problmes?  I found a simple but expensive solution for right now--I bought Hubby a PS3 for Valentine's Day, and he's been happily addicted to Portals on the "Orange Box". 

Okay, I'm running a nVidia GeForce 7900 GE graphic card on a Dell XPS 400, Windows XP SP2, Pentium 4 3.2 gig processor.  I have all the games from the base game to Free Time and all stuff packs installed.  It looks like the driver that Hubby has installed right now is 6.14, or at least that's what it says on the nVidia control pannel.   I need to get a screenshot of the glitch in action. . . I thought I had one but I can't locate it now.  I will take another one in game and edit my post later.

Not meaning to hijack the thread or anything. . . but, do you really have 13 hoods?  I noticed that this neighborhood is #12 and you also have Riverblossom Hills, so that's 13.  Do you play them all, or are they test hoods?  I was just curious.  I don't play the Maxian Hoods, can barely manage to keep my own hood organized and straight.  LOL  If you are running 13 hoods, I'm really impressed.

I run a PC, and I've had this happen.  Sometimes, it seems that every birth I have in the neighborhood is a boy.  Then, for a little while, all girls.  Then, a run of twins.  I don't think that it's because my PC hates me, or that it has too much RAM, or that I'm feeding my sims too much cheesecake.  I think that the game gets stuck on a certain type of birth, and it can be very difficult to break the streak.  One time, tired of having girl after girl, I saved my game right before the mom gave birth, and kept exiting to the neighborhood screen without saving.  After about the 6th or 7th little girl, I gave up.  Sometimes running the Lot Debugger before the birth will help.  It does keep the siblings from being identical.  Before the Lot Debugger, I'd have a whole bunch of Simmy-kids in the family with the same genetics and personalities.  Now, siblings are more realistic.  But, it doesn't always help break the "same birth cycle". 

Being from WV, and having one of the afore-mentioned "trailer trash" and/or "stripper" names--(Krystal spelled with an i because my Momma thought it would be different), I pride myself at being an expert on those sorts of names.

I have yet to see him in my game, either.  Damn, I'm dissapointed that he is unplayable. . . I think in my game, I'd let Stella get her groove back with him!

Dizzy--Why wouldn't you put a Sim into the house?  I'm curious.  Is it because of the multi-levels?

Bathrooms:  In a starter house I always have 1 1/2 bathrooms, and in a larger house I have at least two-four using the 1.5 bathrooms to 2 sims ratio. 

I have thought the same thing about Windkeeper as well.  The TSR Kudos clocks came out before Pets did, and one of her clocks is almost identical to the one with Pets.

#1:  Thank you, thank you, thank you for this thread!  I have been spending more times bouncing around from forum to forum looking for incompatilble hacks than I have actually playing BV.  And, it's good to see that there are people out there playing with more hacks than I do.  LOL

#2:  I have had the room service "bug".  I also have a bug that turns a plum bob into an urn and puts it in a female sim's ummm, neither-regions when she showers at Uni.  But, because of this thread, and one over at InSim,  I now know I was playing with a couple of incompatible mods:  Squinge's maternity clothes hack and Jordi's clothes hiders.  So, if I have it again I'll let y'all know.  I wish I would have taken a screen-shot of my sim in the shower with an urn stuck up there, that was pretty funny.

Ahhh!  The 80's!  That "game that must not be named" meant a lot to me back then.  I married my DM.  LMAO!!

I hate the Werewolf walk, too.     It annoys the crap out of me.  I always see my "wolfies" as some sort of strong, dexterious Hollywood movie monster, not some staggering, stumbling freakish creature.  I have really been dispapointed with them. 

Yeah, that's what makes him tollerable, I guess.     He at least explains why we've done something stupid as he points and laughs.

Well, Sara, that must have been some complaining at Wally-World.  At mine, they just say, "No.  Next?"  and someone moves you out of the way.  If the case to a computer disk has been opened, they do not allow them to be returned. 

Which is why I avoid Wal Mart as much as possible.  (Sigh)

I have the EA game link too, and have GLS, Pets, and Seasons from it.  I have had one issues that caused me to unistall and reinstall the games again.  For some reason, they just stopped loading after a time.  After the reinstall, they worked fine.   :-\But, yeah, it sucks if your internet is down and you'd like to play your game.  It happened to me Sunday.  Our DSL router went down, and it took me an hour on the phone with tech support before I could play.
