Very true Jane. And the fact is all the epeen strokers wanna kick and scream about "OMG SEARCH MOAR, POST LESS N00B! YUR CLOGGING UP MY INTERWEBZ!" But the truth is, whenever I search for anything, I have to waddle through tons of THOSE TYPES of posts... I suggest they practice what they preach and POST LESS! The very fact that I have been here for 4 years and only started 4 threads suggest that I in fact *do* know how to find my own answers when its possible. I admit, I didnt do a search for the items I was posting because I wasnt looking for help, I was trying to give something. The comparison to schoolyard bullies is in fact, a very good one.

The fact is I enjoy intelligent, witty debate with articulate people... which means, I am pretty much done here. Ya'll can have your collective epeen orgasim now, then go jack off again to some other poor unsuspecting soul. Far be it from me to try to rob you of the sense of superiority you garner from talking shit at MATY. Have fun. =)

OH! You mean the thread that I presumed was for... um... questions and tech help regarding store items... gotcha.

Tell me... do you feel like a big boy now that you can act just wike the bullies that pick on you in da pwayground? You want to point out my stupidity... go for it. Never claimed to be a know it all. Never said the thread didnt exist, only wanted to know where. I was checking the thread THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE ITEMS! I thought someone would move the link from this thread to that one.. ya know, cuz of that ... 'new items will be moved from the other thread here" thing. Yeah...

And I am oh so pleased that I could inspire you to sit in your dark room showered in computer light, searching for posts to link for me, and waste oh so many minutes of your life feeling vindicated... fucktard. I have a thick skin and quite a few years under my belt. Your "OMG I get to be mean and nasty to people JUST because its the internet" attitude doesnt phase me... please, continue. Lets see how much more of your life can be sucked up proving my stupidity. Carry on.

Ah, no. I didn't realise I needed to do that. Thank you.

and this is why we don't start unnecessary threads of items already posted in places where they belong.

Really? Would you tell me where it's posted... cuz I checked the store items thread for the past day looking to see if someone else had it available before I spent my hard earned free sim points on it. There was no option and still isn't, for me to post in that thread. And for the record... I have been a member of this site for 4 years, and started as many thread... so if your epeen gets big by stroking it with my perceived n00bness, have it... otherwise fuck you and ... yeah, thats it.

I cannot post this is the proper thread, so someone more awesome than myself will need to handle that, but here are Barnacle Bay and Buccaneers Bounty in one neat, unmodified .rar file.

Anyone else having trouble loading a saved custom world more than once? I have completed the world, gone into the game proper and set out lots, saved and exited the game, only to find when I go back I cannot load the saved game. It tells me I cannot load that saved game because it appears to use expansion data no longer available... I have no expansions... >.<
6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Game Crashes when i try to remove the AwesomeMod on: 2009 October 04, 12:59:44
Have you removed the cache files? Not saying that is definitely the problem, but thats the first thing I remember that I forgot to do when moving things around.
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Long pauses on: 2009 October 02, 15:07:20
I hadnt thought of trying to run without the config file, but I will do that right now. Thanks.

ETA: Removing the config file may have fixed it, so next test will be with a new config file (when I have time) RL so interupts my game time.

I am also having the same issue with the slow downs. It takes me half the morning to get my sims off to work/school, and the other half of the night to feed them before they starve to death becasue they didnt have time to eat in the morning. I am hard pressed to think its my puter as its a brand spaking new machine, Sims 3 being the first thing I installed on it 2 days after getting it. My maids stand around the outside of the house, dreaming of lost loves I suppose, my sims starve and piddle themselves because no one farking moves.

I origianlly started with AM and Indie, took out Indi, reconfigured AM.. still same issue. Deleted all saved games, started a fresh hood with the latest AM and still the same thing. In two test runs, the first with AM installed, nothing else, I allowed my only 2 sims to sleep untill they woke for work, qued up some actions (shower, tinkle and eat) In the run with AM the first sim had no time to eat and showered untill he was an hour late for work (because he stood outside the shower for so long contemplating something) and the second got to prepare her waffles after her shower, but not eat them, and was still late for work. In the run without AM I qued up the same actions, and the first had time to complete everything just as the carpool arrived and the second not only was able to eat, but then stood around the kitchen for 15 sims minutes with nothing to do.

This makes me a sad panda because I want to put my fist through the screen when I have to yell at my sims like I do my child to get something done. I have always played with MATY mods, but I am not sure my sanity can handle the oddness that has consumed my sims right now.

Has anyone got a theory as to what the problem might be, or how to address it without giving up on AM?

Meh... thats the only bloody thing the game produces when this happens... though I do believe that you must be right... cuz you're awesome and all that. But I figure out how... gonna have to do a test run without some meshes and see how it goes. I wish I could at least reproduce it at will so I dont get lulled into thinking "AHA! I got it..." when it doesnt happen for a while.

Thanks again O Awesome One.
10  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Force specific walk-by - Or WTF is my problem now? on: 2008 February 12, 17:43:11
Ok, I am still having the same stinking problem. Everytime I think I have it isolated, it creeps back in. I can't grab an error log cuz the thing just crashes. Does the attached mean anything? Can anyone makes heads or tails out of that?

My next step will be to reinstall my neighborhood to a seperate account and run unattended for a while. This is not something I can reproduce at will.

11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Mods have just *stopped* working... wtf? on: 2008 February 08, 23:34:10
Hmmm... I have never done the force error thing, cuz it frightens me... but I will give it a go!

And to Floopy, yes I have the kitten killer... and up untill last night, all my mods worked fine. I did not download anything between playtime last evening, and today... Sad

I didn't know Clean Installer showed conflicting hacks, I only knew about HCDU from Paladin... and in that case, Inteen conflicts with itself... >.<
12  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Mods have just *stopped* working... wtf? on: 2008 February 08, 21:44:11
Yes, O mighty one, CC is enabled... I am not THAT unawesome (gimme a few though, and I can accomplish even the uber unawesome).  I have the things I mentioned above, like Monique's computer... but, unlike yesterday, I can no longer talk to SS members, or purchase potions, though the banking works fine. I can purchase the beer and place it on a counter, and even tell the sims to drink it... but they get over to it look at it, and it drops out of que.

I still have the toilet paper, lot debugger, all of it... just some of it has decided to crap out... ?
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Mods have just *stopped* working... wtf? on: 2008 February 08, 20:29:07
I feel like a tard, here yet again with an "I think it's broke" moment, but, it is what it is...

I was playing my game last night just fine, no problems at all... I get up this morning, load the game, and begin playing my frat house... and I feel like I have the remains of a VBFB... but I never witnessed one... this particular house right now only has one member, Ashton Rothchild, who is with child... cept, he's not getting child support alla sudden... he cant buy a love potion from the puter (both are Moniques mods... available here with the awesomz) and can't drink any of the alchaholic beer from the urnotawesome Simslice directory on the booty list. I pulled out all my mods, and run game fine... I put all my mods into a test game, and I can do all of the above... but try to run my regualr game with all CC in tack, nada.

I have all xp's and sp's... and why tf would this just happen, overnight, literally???

I have deleted the cache file in the EA directory... didnt help.

Help?

14  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Force specific walk-by - Or WTF is my problem now? on: 2008 February 02, 12:45:56
Ya really think so? I have 1.5G now... hubby wont be happy if I tell him I need more.

But I do *believe* that I have solved the problem... I had two versions of a YA Walkby mod... one for YA shoppers and one for YA walk-bys. I removed the walk-by one, and so far (Please Lord) have played through 6 semesters without a problem. I think I thought they were the same as they were in two different folders, and it took me a few to figure out that they were in fact two different mods by two differnt peeps.

But I still like the moar rams idea.. that would never hurt, now would it... >.>
15  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Duplicated characteres on: 2008 February 01, 19:31:28
I have a character with the '.1' ending to their file name... what could be causing this? ( I only have one  ).

Is that character a nanny? I think the .1 file is normal for that NPC.

Nope, it's the streaker... Sad
16  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Duplicated characteres on: 2008 February 01, 19:05:56
Does SimPe's sim browser show these duplicate sims as well? And does your Characters folder has files like N001_User00088.package and N001_User00088.1.package?

I have a character with the '.1' ending to their file name... what could be causing this? ( I only have one  ).

Ok, I am still having the Mahjong problem, but now I am seeing another, much more annoying one and I *think* it may be one of my custom townies.

Every so often, my game will crash back to the desktop. First, whatever sound is happening in the game starts to sound like a record skipping... then I get a Windows pop-up telling my the application has crashed... and then my game closes.

This is unlike a previous crashing problem I was having... prior to a vid cards that barely met minimum requierments and a power supply that was 70 watts too low for said vid card... >.> (Dont ask, VBT). Then my game would just close, no warning, nothing... or my puter would shut down all together. This current prob seems as if the game is trying to load somthing... and whatever that something is, is making it crash. It has not happened over night yet, which makes me believe its a custom townie. I think maybe the game is trying to loadsomeone with perhaps a bad mesh or something and my game goes poof.

I have run Wardrobe Wrangler and Delphi's Thing-a-ma-bobin and I come up with no broken or orphan files... so, is there a way I can force a specific walk by, and go through my batch of townies one by one to see? Though, as I think now, I have summoned them all to a lot to make them townies... so maybe thats not the problem... and if thats not the problem... I need someones awesome help again. Is it possible to grab an error report if the game is crashing? (Clueless)

*crawls back into corner, looking around timidly*

Thank you...

eta: Would sounds make the game crash? I am noticing now, aside from the stuttering sound before a crash... sometimes I have static in the background... this never happened before...

*checks Downloads for stow-away sound files*

Run the game in the debug mode and see if you can get an error log. Maybe someone more awesome than me can decipher the log and can give you an idea.

Here I go, showing off my unawesomeness....

How do you get an error log? I think I know what debug mode is ... Boolprop testingcheatenabled true, right? Then I would preform the action that causes the jump... then what?

*humbly await a response*

20  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Majong Glitch - Or Normal? on: 2008 January 29, 13:30:42
Ok... admittedly, I have a lot of CC... and right after installing BV, I went to make a community lot - a game room type place - Saloon on The Lawn - (Take off of Tavern On The Green.) Anyway... I put in the new majong table... but no one plays it... they sit at the table for a moment, the allasudden, everyone jumps out of their seats and is standing next to the table.

So, I did the first thing I always do when I encounter something I think is a bug... I removed ALL CC and mods and loaded the game with a clean hood using AnyGameStarter from MTS2. And still I cannot get simmies to play mahjong.

Is this somehting that can only be done on vacation lots? Do they need to have a knwoledge of the game from someone else first? I know it cant be the result of any unawesomeness... because, well... the games not even being loaded WITH the awesome, never mind anything else at this point.

NOTE- I am a total BV n00b... none of my simmies have even gone on vacation yet... I have been too busy creating a totally custom hood... and this seems to be the last bug/glitch I need to work around... or perhaps I need to gain some knowledge of how the dang thing is supposed to work in the first place?

Can anyone offer me and assistance and/or advice?

Ok, gonna remove that and see what happens... then spend the day looking for stuff to replace the functionality of InTeen if it is the problem...

*sad panda face*

I'll worry about the kittens later... Tongue

ETA: Dangit dangit dangit... you are indeed THE awesome...  but it seems there are some things that in InTeen that I have come to depend on very very much... like young adults getting preggers along with teens.

Whats He do if I try out Sims2Living's Teen/YA preggers mod? Tongue

Final Edit:

*cackles maniaclly*

MWUAAAAAAAAAAAAA!*

I found a fix... it's non awesome, but addresses the exact problem and allows me to keep all my awesome stuff... and my kitten killer... WOOTNESS!
22  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Harder Jobs ZOMGPETZ!!!111oneoneone Edition on: 2008 January 26, 06:16:46
NECROMANCY IS BAD, M'KAY?

Yes, yes, yes... I know that it's bad, but I dont know where else to go for some help.

*prepares for the pointy sticks and humbly acknowledges that I am very un-awesome.*

So... I decided that wanted to use harderjobs, instead of running my brand spanking new completely custom hood with 5 mayors and 7 CoS's. I like the functionality of harder jobs. I dl'd it, and the required file listed below it.

Only now, whenever my sims try to get a job instead of the pop up that says the carpool will arrive at such and such a time, I get "Dont you think you should work on your grades first?" and my simmy has no job.

Before you ask... yes, I am using adult sims. The conflict lies somewhere within the pets file required for harderjobs... I found this out only by systematiclly restoring a few hacks at each start-up. Take that one file out and I am good to go... replace it, and it's fubar'd again. But I need it if I want harderjobs, right?  I have run the HCDU, and it comes up with nothing.

I am, again, unawesome and dont know how to show you an error report, or even get a text file of the hacks I am using... but I can say... most are from here, InSim and MTS2... I read each one carefully to make sure I dont have conflicts... and when I do, I use my sucky, time consuming procedure to figure out which one it is, and remove it. But I can't imagine whats happening here.

Before you prod me with your pointy stick (hmmmm... *picks mind up out of gutter*, nvm, we wont go there) can anyone offer me any insight on this?

eta: Sry, forgot to mention, I have all SP's and EP...  =)
23  Ye Olde Simmes 2 Archives: Dead Creators / Ye Olde Syberspunke Archives / Re: Testers Wanted: Teen Enabled Adult Wants and Woohoo Wants (Updated 9/10/2007) on: 2007 December 17, 14:53:12
Well now... I have read, re-read, and then re-re read all of the thread over at MTS2 and here... and have concluded that I must be a re-re myself... o.0 I am so confused and confuddled regarding what needs to go where... what I nsed to accomplish this (teens wanting to woowhoo with anyone, adult or teen - which I absolutly ADORE!!!!) I think I have gotten it figured out, and now am just waiting on a BV update for the wantstree? So, I am asking politely and with as much suck-up-ness as I can possibly muster - any eta on that, dahling?

Posts which do not include a clear description of what your problem is will be pretty much ignored. (i.e. posts such as "This does not work! I am taking it out! You suck! Nice try! etc.") I can't and won't help you if you don't explain what's wrong.

I'd also like to point out that it's NOT FAIR of you to ask me to be clear after you fubar'd my brain on two different boards!!!!! Grin Seriously though... Sims 2 would just not be enjoyable for me without all of you Way More Awesome Than Me people... I've been chatting with you all in my mind for a couple years now... I just dont post much... so if I sound like I am being a bit too familiar with you... it's cuz I know you... you just dont know it yet... >.>
24  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pleasantview, Strangetown & Veronaville Project [UPDATED] on: 2007 March 29, 16:03:15
Is there a way to do this while maintaining the Pleasantville I have alreayd played... IOW, merging with it, so that I do not need to go back and play the same families all over again, or is it a must that I start from scratch?

TIA!
