1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: More Fun Activities For Sims 3 - Updated September 8th on: 2009 October 02, 17:28:40
My simmies are most grateful to you, Chaavik.  They're also curious as to why dancing together is no fun...?
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Quick way of changing style on multiple objects? on: 2009 August 14, 15:23:47
I'm customising some houses I've downloaded, including changing the colour of windows etc. I was wondering if there's a way to change the style on ALL windows (of the same type) at once, because going in and changing them manually one by one is a damn slog. Even dragging the style one by one to 20+ windows takes frikkin ages.

I know you can bulldoze things by type (fence, objects, etc), so maybe there's something like this for create a style too?

Shame on you, Jordi.

I'm fairly certain that dragging the texture tool is the fastest way to do it unless you create a saved style and then use the eyedropper to clone it.

Ah.  Yeah, I was talking about how it affects some players, but not others.

Heh... it's voodoo, Motoki.  Ryder's got the right idea, though; temporarily renaming Mods to something else will work, as will moving your Mods folder temporarily to your desktop.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Perfect aquarium...or not? on: 2009 August 13, 05:46:24
I'm pretty sure this LTW is broken.  My sim had 21 different varieties of perfect fish and needed all of 'em in bowls before the wish fulfilled.  Now I wonder if it would work if he'd ONLY had the 13. Undecided

Not bad, Silverdrake.  I can only imagine the hideous spawn he'd throw, though.

*family album*

I guess it depends on your definition of hideous. I've seen worse.
My apologies.  I stand corrected.

The LTW is borked in my game, too; it takes 14 fish to fulfill it.  Once the sim hits platinum, though, I delete everything.

I experimented a bit to see if maybe dressing other sims in another's favorite color had anything to do with attraction.  Each had two different traits in common and he hooked up with the same girl twice.  This means nothing, though, because of the traits system.  I suspect that some are more heavily weighted than others.  But it would be interesting to see the results of a real test.

AwesomeStoryMode will retain the gender preferences of your sims. Isn't that awesome?
Yes!  It would be extremely awesome if there was some way to tell the game to randomize gender preferences.  And a pony for the furries. Tongue

That may be it, Quetzilla.  I play the Collector's DVD Edition and have to remove my Mods folder to install sims3packs.

It's on the tab with the traits.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 29, 04:15:35
Is that what the resource.cfg is - a traffic controller?  I'm sure it helps to move Mods out of the Electronic Arts folder.  Things are susceptible to burning chicken feathers in there.
15  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 July 29, 04:03:44
Voodoo or not, removing Mods is the only way I can install sims3packs too.  Otherwise, it just hangs until I kill it through Task Manager.

How does it know when a household is "player-created or controlled"?  Huh

Bulldozing a lot with collectable spawners no longer destroys the spawners.
No word about restoring the Beautiful Vista buffs?  Are those generated by spawners?  Yeah, that definitely needs testing.
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Flagrant System Error on: 2009 July 27, 20:25:25
I just got another one.  If it helps, it happened just as my sim picked up a chunk of silver.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 July 25, 15:13:01
I was playing a gardener when this appeared across the street:

It looks like four different sims?  Five?

I got one name when I moused over the thing and tried a resetsim on it when my played character froze.  I had to shut down through Task Manager.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Slacker Babysitters on: 2009 July 25, 04:48:44
Roll Eyes  I think I'll stick with just family and neat then.  Or... wait... is there a trait that conflicts with bookworm or childish?  I really don't want them pulling a book out of their back pockets or breaking the video game console when they're supposed to be doing better things.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How do I congratulate a Sim? on: 2009 July 25, 04:39:02
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just a way for Good sims to meet someone new - like a Friendly Introduction wish.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Slacker Babysitters on: 2009 July 25, 04:37:06
Motoki, did you happen to change their traits while you had them in CAS?  If so, what did you give them?  I'm thinking of taking a page from your book, but I wouldn't know what to do with their personalities beyond family-oriented and neat.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Slacker Babysitters on: 2009 July 25, 00:27:58
Is that the babysitter sobbing? Cheesy Serves her ass right, for interfering in baby care.
24  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Where is "Add to Active household" hiding? on: 2009 July 25, 00:17:23
That would be my guess, too.  You can return to the Main Menu and enter testingcheatsenabled.  It should work then.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Slacker Babysitters on: 2009 July 24, 23:30:09
Even worse, my sim with all the charisma challenge perks doesn't have the option to "Fire" a maid or babysitter.  I guess it's because they're automagically friends as soon as they step foot on the lot...?
