TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Can't be the only one who sees something wrong with this

http://metro.co.uk/2015/09/14/the-future-of-the-sims-4-interview-it-is-kind-of-like-life-5390869/Game dev admits in an underhanded way, that you're supposed to like Sims because it will 'grow' with expansion packs and updates. For those too lazy to click the link, here's the quote. "‘Hey, we're building a foundation with the base game that we're gonna continue to build on and continue to expand', that's just me talking. But then when you actually do it and you add content in, and you add pools and you add ghosts and you add some career updates, and you add a Game pack and a Stuff pack, and all of these things adding up to each other that we come out with every month." It really opens my eyes. All these other game devs who release complete games, they've been doing it wrong. You're not supposed to release a game complete. You're supposed to release the bare minimum and make people wait for updates, and store content. That's what makes a good game.

This is odd. Mainly because I stray away from downloading user created worlds as the majority of them rely too heavily on stuff packs and store content I'm not going to purchase.
You've apparently been looking at all the right sim cc sites. It could only be more perfect if there wasn't a pose pack in sight.

com.plain Verb - Express dissatisfaction or annoyance about a state of affairs or an event.
You didn't. You whined.
Every new game comes with a patch. Stop your fucking complaining, it all sounds like PEBCAK anyway.
Oi. The sitophilliac called me a complainer, there. Plain as day. Not a whiner. Maybe you should take your issue up with him. Or agree to disagree it's clearly a subjective term. Oh my god. At least this 18 writes in literate sentences and backs up their bitching with reasons (whether they're experienced by others or not.) Stop driving off the people who can actually type!
If they're "driven off" because someone disagreed with them, they're far too sensitive for this site anyway. The internet is not really a place for sensitivity. But I'm ridiculously thick-skinned compared to the average human being. so.

I'm not going to deney the fact that EA has dropped the ball on a few things throughout the years with this franchise, but if you're going to bitch and moan about it at least do it right. You come off as a whiny little brat that's moar suited for the BBS than here. Opinoin =/= fact.
Yes, sir. In the future I'll try to complain par to your standards. My apologies.

I wish they'd wait to release their dumb patches compared to one every other week and release an awesome superpatch that fixes their shitty game entirely.
But, I guess that'd be an entirely new game. The charm of sims 3 is that it crashes every ten minutes, every expansion pack is released pretty much broken, every other patch adds features that are already supposed to be exclusive to expansion packs, and more often than not, winds up screwing up at least more than half of the gaming community's games.
EA's so ridiculously cheap.
Every new game comes with a patch. Stop your fucking complaining, it all sounds like PEBCAK anyway. I specified precisely what EA's issues were. I never had the trouble with The Sims 2 that I do with TS3. I'd say it was a coincidence, if it weren't I had the same problem with each 6 reinstalls or so on 3 different computers. The expansion packs cost much, much more, with shallower gameplay, and it's obvious EA isn't working up to the potential they could be. I have every right to complain. I put my money into this crap, and I'm definitely not putting any more in. The patches usually don't fix what is truly broken, and add a crap ton of features that should probably be exclusive to expansion packs.

I wish MTS would be leniant on criteria in regards to uploads of things they have less of, and much more strict on the hoards of contacts and eyeshadows they allow, to spare room for a bigger variety of custom content available.
The house is gorgeous by the way. Anyone would kill to live in a house like that, compared to most of the homes I see uploaded with floating, rectangular second stories.
Bland my ass.

What's driving me bonkies is that I'm steadily working to get a particular male Sim abducted and pregnant - and they keep taking his wife instead!
The male pregnancy 'morph' is dumb. The game just temporarily increases his weight to the maximum end of the scale. That's already in the game. That's nothing new, or exciting to see. And it would have been neat if EA expanded on basic green skinned, black eyed aliens. They could have done blue or pink with the different color ramps implemented.

One household of mine has been abducted at least 3 times within one hour of playing. That was extremely frustrating. The first time was neat, but the second and third time happened immediately after, and it was kinda aggravating, because I didn't have time to deal with my sim being whisked away for a while, when it did fucking nothing for my gameplay except empty his energy bar.
The weather is nice, and I do think it was probably one of the best sims 3 expansion packs. Which is pretty shitty, because it was shallow gameplay.
EA's expansion packs haven't added many new features to the sims 3. Just some stuff and a *couple* of new interactions, that were already expected because they were on the fucking back cover of the box plain as day. You don't discover anything new or exciting in game yourself.
Also, it adds obvious traits. Like "Loves the cold", "Loves the heat", etc. It's completely cliche, and I feel robbed. EA is such a brilliant, creative company and has the potential to add so much more. And it pains me to say this, because The Sims Franchise is my absolute favorite gaming franchise.
But it's turned cheap. I'm paying less for more, which is why I haven't purchased any other expansion or stuff packs. It's a waste of money.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was getting tired of sifting through 'pose packs', 'contacts', 'lipsticks', etc, that all look the same when looking for some new & unique, custom content.
I don't understand what is the most intriguing about contacts and lipsticks, considering they all wind up looking pretty much the same.
